Help, first timer.

Hi, I posted on here around 6 weeks ago, asking if anyone could help with when to harvest, I was advised a good few week. Now 6 week later I can tell how much the buds have fattened up but now there’s these black trichomes along with a lot of white ones, I think it might be done within a week or so but what do you think? There’s majority brown pistles but new white ones seem to pop up all the time, especially on the top bud. Could anyone help, iv been growing this since March lol

You want to be looking at the trichomes on the calyx. Sugar leaf trichomes ripen first and will be misleading. Jeweler's loop or a tiny snip of the bud and microscope. To me it looks like about another 3 weeks, but those trichomes may say otherwise

I thought I had black trichs also but when I changed the angle of the light I saw it was a shadow under a ripe trichome, on the leaf. As mentioned above get a good look at the trichs on a bud. Some phones have a macro setting on their camera that could help with clarity.
