HELP, flood n drain buckets

can i place clones with no roots straight into a flood n drain bucket system in net pots with just clay pepples?
or can i put clones in rockwool cubes and straight into the net pots with clay pebbles
also what should my flood cycles be thankyou

I use Rockwool with a little rooting hormone and then put them under a seed starting dome with CFL's.

I use clay pellets and the little black plugs. Tear them in half place in clone right to the bottom and then grow baby grow. Rockwool is a gnat magnet
