help for expericned indoor grower

okay so ive been told cfls are no good after 5 inches or something...all im looking to do is to get a plant big enough 1-2feet (max) and strong enough to put outside for growing...ive been using 20 watt cfl and i kno it wont work plant is dying..but what if i used 80-100 watt cfl just for it to grow 1-2 feet cause thats all i need..or shouild i switch bulbs...can someone please help me out..thank you plenty

Ive grown successfully under cfls with no problem. Used 8 bulbs. 4 at 23 watt and 4 at 26 watt. You could do it.

run the 26wtt that are + to 100wtts datlight bulbs. cfl's. they will work fine for what your trying to achive.:hump:

okay cool...all this wattage confuses me with all this 3000k lumens and al this im not good indoor grower..so basically i need a 100 watt cfl for daytime..i put it on a 18\6 light cycle..so i gues i need the 100 watt cfl for the 18 hours of day time i use and i should be fine??..

For Vegging you want 6500k. Flowering you want 2700k.

Minimum wattage for one plant I would do no less then 100 Watts. 4 Y sockets fitted with 4 6500k lights will definitely do the trick for you.

Walmart 2 pack of 26 watt, 6500k CFL's go for about 8 bucks.

okay so i dont get all this 1000k crap (no offense)..i only have one lamp to use but could easly get another..i baisically wanaa use one bulb for one plant..umm does walmart sell 100 watt cfls and if so what prices?

2700k and 6500k are color temperatures. Color temp is measured in kelvins. Bulbs come in many different color temperatures. Some color temps plants can use efficiently and other temps not so much. If you are growing your plant and not flowering it you want to use 6500k light bulbs. If you are flowering you want to use 2700k.

The strongest bulb at Wal-mart is 26 watts. To find a 100 watt CFL you will need to look online.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU LOOK FOR TRUE WATTAGE NOT EQUIVALENT WATTAGE!!!!

o truee i see...well im not doin floweing stage im putting them outside well before that wud happen..is there any store that u kno of that wud sell 80-100 watt cfl ...i dont like going online dont have credit card or nething...thanks man

i wouldnt' use cfl's for the flowering stage, i mean you can but your going to need more watts when the plants get bigger. and if you dont want to spend to much money and have a great cfl, just ask your parents or if you have your own checking account card or credit card and go to ebay. there are alot of reliable people out there with cheap prices and good fixtures.

Dude. Go to Wal-mart. Buy one of the first picture. Buy 3 Y Socket Adapters. About a buck a piece. Buy 1 light socket kit. Its a 12 ft or so power cord with 2 wires at the end, you connect that to the INCLUDED light socket. Buy 2 packs of lights (4 lights total). Walmart sells a double pack of 6500k. Looks exactly like the picture however there are 2 to a pack. Assemble as pictured and vwa-la!!!! 104 Watts of pure unadulterated CFL growing power!

Hell if you have the socket already next to your plant just get the 3 Y adapters and 4 bulbs boom done. You will spend less then 20 bucks either way you go.

If you do manage to find a 105 Watt CFL in a store I hope you bring your anal lube with you because they are going to ass rape you with the biggest cock you can imagine.

haha opkay so all these 3 y sockets nd such are just for me to plug in the the bulb to..cause i have this lamp im using and i just screw my bulb into the lamp plug it in and ya:P...im assumeing the second picutre is a spliter for 2 bulbs for one socket type thing..once again very unexpericned indoor grower but great outdoors..im not flowering indoor only vegging.. and is the 6500 k like a 20 watt cfl or what..or is just a 6500k bulb..once again thanks for the help man

or go to a local hydroponics store and look for this light it was $86.95, its called a sun system it comes with a HPS 16,000 LUMENS 150 watt bulb and its an all season start to finish!!!:joint:kiss-ass:hump:

No reason to spend that much Smoke. He only needs the setup for a few weeks then hes putting them outside.

The Y sockets you screw together so you can put 4 bulbs into 1 socket as I have pictured. 6500k bulbs come in a pack of 2 bulbs. Each bulb is 26 Watts a piece. Each pack of 2 bulbs is 8 bucks. Each Y socket should be no more then 1 buck.

The Light bulbs pictured are EXACTLY what you will pick up at Walmart. If they don't look like that you do not buy them!
