So i got quite a few big bitches and one of them is a cheese from g13 labs and the flowering time is 8-14 weeks so i wanted to get a head start on this girl she is in a 15 gallon smart pot i wanted to know the best way to flower her is i want to say she is about 2.5 to 3 feet wide and stands with the pot about 4 feet maybe more do you think a trash can could fit or should i put a tarp over it? And how dark does it have to be? I think the blue tarp i have let's some light threw. Any help appreciated.

Also would I have to stop covering it after the summer solstice? Or would I have to continue doing it till light reaches 12 hours?

6 mil black plastic sheeting should do the trick. I wouldn't risk stopping cover. All that hard work just for the plant to POSSIBLY reveg. i would rather take out the guess work.

Is this available at homedepot and you think I need to continue till it hits 12 hours because wouldn the plant know the days are getting getting shorter and keep flowering? I'm just asking not sure but I thought Thays how they work is bit the hours of light they receive and thay determines the life cycle?

Yeah. It would that way. You can get 6 mil black plastic sheeting in the painting department at HD. Its by all the drop cloths. If you are covering for a dark period of 12 hours and then you stop covering and there is still 13 hours of light, the plant might sense the hour increase and think it is time to veg again.

No. You misinterpreted what I was trying to say. I am saying if he starts flowering them on 12/12.....and later on down the road stops. The plants may recognize the hour increase of sunlight and revert back to veg. I typed that on my phone that is why I was so vague. My bad.

My light dep greenhouse gets shaded by a tree at the time that I will be covering, which will help out. And I have an oscillating fan in the greenhouse to ensure there is sufficient airflow at all times. Try to eliminate as many humidity issues and "hot spots" as possible.

I have a plant that went back to vegetate and it's not receiving more than 8, maybe 9, hours of direct sunlight outside, I think the equinox might have had something to do with it tho. It's already 8 months old :eyesmoke::eyesmoke:
Keep a steady hand with what your doing, you'll succeed.

i used 2 black garbage bags on 4 of my 4 ft plants to give them a month early of flowering, worked out ok for me. 2 other plants with out garbage bags didnt finish aswell as with garbage bags, i used indusrtrial garbage bags. the big thick black bags. just put one over the other with hole at bottom of one bag then then tie up at base of plant

I think You will be fine man just.might be a little small but should he fine.

So this is what I did guys My living room doesn have windows just a . sliding glass kinda weird but it has a corner pretty dark for the most part so I dragged my bitch in and got 5 bamboo poles and stuck them in her nice and slow she liked it like that. Then I went a head and tucked her in with a big ass 10x25. Foot 3 mil black plastic. Seems pretty light proof had a light on right above her and looked at the light and barely saw it threw the plastic. I don't think it will be and Issue but hope this works gonna keep her covered till tomorrow night and let her to the elements lol

Lol, nicely put. i suggest putting some alluminum around it during the light hrs, and remove it during dark. it kinda makes it less sensitive to light leaks and such. or at least it helped me when my dad got drunk and punched a hole in my grow room and i was trying to flower, needless to say this set me back a bit. lol
