Im sorry im so baked i didnt know we were still talkin about cfls .Sit i have to get my head out of marijuanas ass
trying it now with my LR's here is wht Im finding out:
the plants on the left side (blue side) have mroe growth bushy growth of plant...really filling out (leafs)... but the ones on the right side (red side) are getting bigger buds an more production budwise.. er..(sorry bad pun) but anyway the more actual bud productio on the plants closer to the red side.... which leads me to think you can get a bushy plant or a buddy plant or both but plants only have so much energy and Id rather that go into bud production.

I use sunlamps and i will swear by it. It really does not matter I was just wonderin.
I treid sunlamps 1x... it was the CFL version...dont know it they have more but I didnt have very good success... had em right on top of my seedlings like I do my CFLs and think I shocked the poor lil thing it froze like a statue and never grew, finally it went back into its hole like pugsatawnie phil. O well, stick to what I know...CFLs and HIDs

Sorry to make you wait but i left you a message in your account . I kinda like to use natural like a window and if i have to make up for time i throw it under the sunlamp. But it works wonders for vegatation and flowerin stage.

I meant for early stages of growth.
I gotcha.... still best bang for the buck for me is the 600W HPS hands down for flowerin... doin another comparison with the CFL mixed lights vs the HPS see which one yields more... believe it or not right now they are tied 5 weeks into flower.... Ive taken same strain (auto flower) same containers, fed same nutes, only things changed was light 18/6 CFL blue and red vs 12/12 600W HPS temps are a lil different too by about 2 deg. everything else the same.... 1 thing to note though is autos sometimes dont share the same traights even though they are the same strain...they seem to be a lil unstable atm.... Anyway fun to test out the lights

Like I said, 2"-3" above the tops is fine with CFL's. They can even be closer than that. I have 125W CFL's, and they are almost touching the plants, no problems. Need pics?
