House flies are not a problem. The green stuff is probably algae. Yes, the container size can affect the size of the plant.

thanks mate can algae be a problem tho ???
Hi rory09.

The house fly wont cause any problems, It probably got in on yourself, the tent door or through an open vent... If you do have open vents your going to want to use some kind of material ( women's tights or similar ) so air can still pass through but not insect's. The green on the top of the medium is probably a water based algie. Again not a problem but you may want to remove it anyway and replace with fresh medium. After i have watered my plants i leave for 24 hours then go in and ruffle the top cm of medium to stop this happening.
