Help-How To Connect to The Crowd

Well i am in a band and i have been thinking about how to draw and connect more to the crowd. Slipknot, for some reason is a band that you can really listen to for hours and really connect to it and idk, its like something that sucks you to it. Lets say for example cannibal corpse, it is a great band and great music. But for some reason it just fells hallow and cold like there isn't anything there. How come slipknot is so full and warm? And how could another band be the same and connect more? I think one of the things is the show they put on, like they name themselves by numbers, the masks, the history. What would draw you guys as a crowd?

Slipknot also has more instruments than Cannibal Corpse...

I've seen both bands live.
I'd see Cannibal over Slipknot any day.

hmmmmm what draws you toward cannibal corpse? I am trying to figure out what will draw people to listen.
