HELP........ how to sex early?

Ok I have an issue that needs to be resolved. I have a closet grow going but only one 400 watt MH/HPS light for the closet. My problem is that I want to sex my plants early on, sinsemilla of course, and pull the males. I was wondering the easiest way to do that while keeping plants on schedule. Is it possible to get clones and flower them 12/12 under a flourescent light? while keeping the big girls under the 18/6 MH lamp, seperate areas of course, or is it easier to switch the lamp cycle to find the sex and then switch back to 18/6 when I have checked em out and pulled the males, and if so how easy it for the plants to get back on veg cycle.

You can take clones and 12/12 to determine sex you probably don't want to switch the light on your plants they will take longer to revert to veg,another option is cover a branch on each plant 12/12 and in a couple of weeks the individual branches will show sex, I personally think it's too much work but hey I'm a lazy ass pothead.

i know what your saying, but how long will the clones take to flower underneath a flourescent light? and I can start the clones on a 12/12 as soon as I put them in starter plugs? or should I wait until a root system establishes?

You need to root your clones under 24/0 first before you can flower them. Fresh cuttings with only 12 hours of light will take a long time to root.

I'm trying to find out the same thing, I have about ten 4 week old plants' about 6-10 inches tall and would like to sex them early but it sounds like if you clone or just do the plants themselves either way is going to take about the same time or ? Thanks

FDD may have come up with a way to sex early. It has to do with the number of those bumps that make up your stem. I forget the link but you should be able to find it if you know who fdd is

i think he said so far in his findings he has noticed that males have 5 and females 4.
