Good question.
I dont have a proper answer to cal mag, other than i read on forums that coco based needed it.
And the c02 bottle, why not?
I know im shooting from the hip.
Is there a proper a to z?
What you are growing in isn't coco. Doesn't even look close to it. Looks like soil and overwatered there is algae on the surface from it not drying out.

Why not CO2? It'd be best to get the basics down before trying to get into more advanced techniques.

There are multiple A to Z guides on here and the internet. Just need to figure out which medium and nutrients you want to use.

I purchased 2 of my plants. What they are in when bought…is what it is.
I only use..jiffy starter mix plus perlite.
I know my mix ratio is way off..
I need more perlite.
I almost killed my work.
I had seen bugs.
I made a concoction of white vinegar, dawn and water. Sprayed it all, then put back into tent immediately, turned light back on..
Next day…see pics211D8E7D-1510-45BA-9F38-DD94753D1640.jpeg476244D8-7E55-4AC6-B308-3933E39E1F5A.jpegC0F2E724-797A-4425-B65F-36175192073E.jpeg0517629D-4E61-4296-BC4B-58F4608BC845.jpeg

No shit? Vinegar makes a great weedkiller when mixed with Dawn.

"Making a homemade weed killer is relatively easy. All you need to do it yourself is some white vinegar, epsom salt, and Dawn dish detergent. But how effective is this combination at killing weeds, and how should you apply it? Here’s the scoop."

Lots of bottles little knowledge.
I agree.
Mind you, i am growing off site. I only visit 1x per 48 hours. The residents only react when they see fit, seems everyone is watering…..
Regardless of notes saying do not water.
I appreciate your input, good, bad or indifferent. I also appreciate your time!
Thanks man, my goal is spring planting outdoors here in NY. I almost killed it all over an infestation of aphids, fungus knats. I will update with pics tomorrow.
My 3x3 tent arrived. I need to set up flowering to see what the genetics produce.
Fucking bugs

Too much humidity & overwatering. Feed plants when they feel almost dry and light weight. Figure out how often that is and try to stick to it on a schedule say once every 2 days or so or even 3 if it takes that long.. Try to keep your humidity more around 60% and nothing higher in veg and always keep your humidity below 50% in flower to help avoid mold/mildew.

Whenever you see that green algae type growth on the top of the soil or in your perlite then you are usually over watering, it's most common to see that on grodan wool cubes.

Here is where i am at today 12/27, after pump spraying home made weed killer onto them. I had seen aphids, decided to make a solution of white vin. Dawn liquid dish soap and water. Pump sprayed for (bugs).

i thought the light burned them.
I thought it was due to not spraying with water only on leaf tops after the bug solution was applied.
I didnt measure. I used a pump sprayer with ? Chemicals ran thru over the years.
I put plants back into tent after 15 minutes, light on.

since this stupid rookie mistake, i flushed the 2 10gallon plants with 2 gallons of 6.3 ph water.

I just looked it up and they say:

This natural and organic seed starting soil mix is enhanced with peat moss, vermiculite and lime.

I don't know if that means its hot or not. That it's 'enhanced with peat moss, vermiculite & Lime' it suggests that the base soil is something else. Possible that it's 'hot' and that along with additional nutrients is just burning the little guys?
Perlite, vermiculite, and lime are buffers and soil acidifiers not so much the perlite. they help maintain an even ph and keep your soil loose so it doesn’t get so compacted after all the waterings and settling and also helps with air flow and bug control as well they don’t add much food per say as they help with the uptake of food. What are the additional nutrients seeds are very basic and don’t need additional nutrients for a little while

Another stumper. I took 10 cuttings, they lasted a few weeks, since lost 6/10. Maybe overwatered?
Pics are day 1 to now. Slowly went down hill.
Dump the tray/dome and use plugs soak them in water and put your cuttings into sandwich bags and don't touch them for 2 weeks. Leave them in your veg tent on the floor. If you have free time blow some air in the bags every 3-4 days. You can put 3-4 clones in each bag. 100% success rate.
