I definitely back up the carbon filter guy. Odor is gone in 1/20 second...absolutely. Ona and ions and everything was used until carbon was put in good filter like can and Phresh. Ever since, there has been no question. But a solid filter at hydro shop or online and get on with gardening. Phresh and Green Planet/Phat filters are smaller lighter, cost less, and last longer. But you have to ask for them or the stores give you can filter becasue of discounts and rebates.
I have seen the Aussie filters last five years. If you have an exhaust fan, put a filter on it and the whole thing is done. And use a filter on your intake also. Odor Sok makes a cheap carbon fabric filter that is great on intake.
Post any other questions you have about plant odors. I have had a lot of experience and built nearly everything.
Now a little ozone is cool, I think. It extends the carbon and works on the odors while still in the air. Use with carbon and dont let it hurt the plants. The filter will brak down the carbon when it passes by in exhaust.
