Help I think i might have messed up topping my plants

So this is my first grow and i tried topping my plants but i got to eager and didn't read up enough and so i ended up cutting the new growth off the top of my plants but left hardly any stem above the node and it was before any side growth had started. Ill attach a pic of what i did. the red line is where i topped.

They'll pull through don't worry so much. As long as the terminal bud is snipped off, your two new shoots will grow (circled in red)

I hack em down damn near with hedge trimmers at times, the name "weed" is not slang. Too many folks scare nubes these girls are crazy fragile.... not true. Now thats not a licence to abuse or be careless either in their care... but try to breath easy

all turned out well in the end. The topping working and they are going strong now
