So currently, as of May 30th 2012 I have several plants haha. I have 5 bagseed (definitely a more sativa dom. strain) 9 onyx, 1 mazar kush, and 1 OG13 strain.
living where I live @ 61N 149W I have some big problems with these sativas and these non-auto strains. Our equinox (first 12-12) day is sometime in september, however by september the first hard frosts will have already hit, and I mean HARD frosts. this gives me a littlebit more than 3 full months for my bagseed and photoperiod plants to grow. There is no possible way i can grow a 3 foot indica indoors, let alone a 6 foot sativa.... I guess my question is, how can i grow these babies till budding. Longest day of the year is June 21st, at my latitude we get almost 23 hours of complete sunlight and 1 hour of "dusk" (its never dark in the winter)
will the photoperiods start to flower when the daylight gets shorter? even though were still going to be having 18 hours of sunlight in july? 16 hours in august?
should I build a darkness shelter for the photoperiods and bring them in and out every 12 hours? will it be worth it? From my knowledge of growing sativas indoors, it usually will take a good 10 to 12 weeks for sativas to completely finish budding from the start of 12/12. Indicas around 8. will the indicas make it? remember. first frost is september 1st to be early. first HARD frost is around september 10th. and snow is on the ground by end of september. first actual day of 12/12 is around the middle of september. from your experience, which plants seem to show sex faster outdoors? indicas? sativas? thank you guiys. and if somebody could please answer me and answer this question I have had since the beginning of my pot growing years, "Will a plant start to flower @ exactly 12/12, or will it start to flower earlier?", because it makes a huge difference.
Thank you guys, Life savers!
