Thats cold stress. Macsnax is right. My hardening procedure is to leave them out in the sun for 3 hours a day, for one week, and then bring them inside. After that one week you can leave them outside. That procedure dont really matter if its still too cold outside regardless of hardening off in my experience.i moved them outsude yesterday. and today it looks like this View attachment 4258645
If your dead set on leaving them out in the cold, you might want to cover them at night, or buy/build a hoophouse.
Older more mature plants can take the cold better than a younger plant in veg, probably why your flowering plants are holding up.
Yeah your going to need to build a structure with some sort of poles that your plants fit under. If the tarp is touching the plants every night you WILL end up mold issues..... I'm not going to lie to you, I've done this sort of stuff in the past and its a lot of work. And you WILL end up questioning why your doing it, and if it's worth it. I've told this to a few people..... If you've got the motivation then go for it.c
