marajuana plants need a darkness period of 5-6 hours for maxium regeneration in veg. No plant on earth is exposed to 24 hours of light, even in alaska it has 19 hours of light a day in some parts summer. dont be changing your light schedg, the plant stresses and will hermi after so many stresses, stick to one a 18/6 is good 24 hours on continual works the plants too hard. I belive d.m.t has a role to play in the darkness phase, its a chemical that is produced by humans, plants and animals when they are sleeping and dreaming. stay on that cycle then switch to a 11on/13 off flower cycle It will make the plant trigger flowering sooner and harvest will be riper at the annual 60 day mark most strains are set to harvest at. This has been proven by many experenced growers anyone who says diff never ran controlled tests over perods of years perfecting strain-specific growing techneques.

Above post is not entirely true. I know people who have grown for over 20 years, cloning veging and growing seedlings under 24/0 schedule. It doesn't cause hermies! ... I use 18/6 because it works and it saves power. But I don't see how you can say they need 5-6 hours rest, because it's been proven that they don't. And test have been done that shows 20/4 is best for all round growth. So they obviously prefer 4 hours dark period.

Roots need darkness to grow, but unless your using clear pots and soil / hydro system, they should be in the dark anyway (and if you have clear soil, can I have some? Might be worth money!!!)

80 day period most strains are ripe at??? Even in just the strains I have their finishing time varies from 42 to 98 days (or longer sometimes) ... I wouldn't say most of them are ripe at 80 days at all, that's way too general

ya imho you were watering a lil too often, definitely stick your finger down a couple of inches and wait until its pretty damn dry before watering again.

should i start adding nutes to the older one or should i wait. the soil was just seedling soil with no/very low nutes.
