Help - light problem!!

My bitches have been into flowering for about 7 weeks and there's at least 2-3 more weeks to go - so the lights are 12/12 (8.00am to 8.00pm dark).
This morning the lights somehow stayed on about 1.40pm until I saw something was wrong. Turned the lights off and started to find out what to do.

SO, should I put the lights on again at 1.40am and off again at 1.40pm and continue with that schedule OR start my regular schedule from 8.00pm-8.00am?

Plants haven't really swollen yet so cutting isn't really an option. And the trichs are still clear... Please help...

Just put them back exactly like they were. One day of messed up lights won't hurt them. Put them back on 8 to 8.

First, thanx Merlin for the quick response!

...argh... there's two kind of comments to my question; Like Merlin said "continue with old schedule" and other opinion is that I should go with new schedule and if necessary, go down like an hour or so to get slowly back in to normal schedule... got my mind so mixed up and so afraid of freaking my girls to hermies :O

Girls are c99, chronic, bubble bud and one unknown girlie. For my former grows I know that c99 is quite sensitive and could freak...

The right decision is to just go back to the original schedule and don't sweat it. Did you find the cause of the schedule screw up? If there's no apparent cause it would be a timer problem so buy a new timer if that's the case.
