HELP! Light Timer Malfuntion In Week 9 of Flowering

So I'm in my ninth week of flower for my 3 Purple Kush and 1 Cali OG x Haze Kush plants in my grow tent. As of yesterday (Oct. 2) it had been exactly 8 weeks since the 12/12 switch.

I just went into my garage to empty my dehumidifier at 11 PM and the grow lights were ON (they're supposed to turn off at 6 PM until 6 AM)! Naturally I freaked out and scrambled to unplug the lights and then I programmed my spare timer and plugged it in. Guess what? The stupid lights flashed on very fast (as I shut them off instantly) when I plugged in the new timer too!

I have no idea if the lights turned on after they were already off at 6 PM or if they just stayed on past shut off time. So the lights are scheduled to turn back on at 6AM - should I give them more darkness? What should I do?! Am I screwed now? The trics on the PK aren't as white as the OG... should I chop them tomorrow or let them finish for another week or two like I planned?



UPDATE: I unplugged the timer and I will assume that the lights never turned off at all so I will give them 12 hours of darkness since 11PM when I noticed.

They will be fine, just get them back on the timer and let them finish growing.

So what's up with the original timer? Human error or mechanical?

It was the timer, I haven't touched it since I programmed it 8 weeks ago and it has a backup battery. When I unplugged it- it was completely reset. I honestly don't understand what could have happened besides it just malfunctioned and reset. My heart sank when i saw that light on man, these plants are way too nice to let hermie.

How long you got left til harvest? I wouldn't think that there was enough time to produce seeds before they are ready to chop. I wouldn't worry. Just get them back on track and let us know how they do.

Hopefully 1 week- and will do. I just hope I didn't delay them or hermie them... I was reading reviews on amazon and apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to. The screens just go completely blank and the outlets stay on. Next year I'm using something more reliable... never buying another one without reading all the 1 star reviews...

I'm thinking these should be done around the 16th based on the trics... I hope anyways

Yeah don't sweat it friend. Everything will be fine. I and many others have had it happen and it has never caused hermaphrodites for me. Even on strains like Gorilla glue that are more prone to it. And even if it did (as has been stated) there's so little time left it will not make any difference.

Don't sweat it, one day won't hurt them. Soldier on, another week or 2 and it will be time to say it..........

Yeah next year I'm going to buy one of those alexa type things and some smart plug timers and 2 cameras. One cam outside the tent so i can see my sensors and one cam inside the tent. This was my first grow and I had to add and replace a lot of equipment on the fly- but this bud smells and looks like some potential top shelf (hopefully). Next year I want to have it perfect for Gelato and L.A. Confidential, then i want to try to grow Tangerine Dream autoflowers before it snows.

Update: harvested on the 23rd. No sign of bananas anywhere... now i just have to figure out how i can trim like 3 pounds by myself lol
