Help! Little black gnat problem!

New grower here. Im just wondering how to get rid of those annoying little black gnats? What would be the best way to get rid of them that wont effect the plant itself? I know they can cause problems if not takken care of soon. Thanks

yI used the hanging stripes, but didnt completely take care of it. So when I transplanted I throw away the top 2 inches of soil I had my plants in, Thats where they live and lay eggs, I sprayed clorox and bleached out my room,(walls floor everything), closed all outside access, never had them again.

New Grower777, some pics would get you some definitive answers. Good luck bud. Just read your guide Grizzly, good stuff-- background in entomology?

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I have put three diff mixtures in with the plant, all of which I heard would help drive them away. A dish of sugar water and dish soap, a dish of sugar and vinegar and a dish of vinegar and baking soda. Havent seen any since I put them in so maybe that did it...orrr maybe the just flew away for the time being, we'll see.

Edit. Ill try to take some pictures of them but they are very small. Im pretty sure they are fungus gnats though.
