Help me decide which ebb and flo system to buy

I am dedicating my 10 x 12' basement bedroom into my new grow room. I have the veg room (large closet) setup but now thinking what do purchase for the large flowering room. I am sold on the ebb and flo system - it seems to produce great yields with relatively low maintenance. Anyone have experience with the HABS ebb and grow setup? What about the Greentrees Multi Flow system? The HABS is the lowest price I can find, but I am not all about the lowest price. I want something I can depend on, produces awesome yields, and will last for years. Any suggestions?

...myself, I'd get a couple 4x8 footprints, hook up 2 subpumps to each table (if one goes bad you have a backup), and off you go. I currently am working with ebb n' flow myself. Are you using the Lucas Formula?

You can buy everything you need, and make your own very cheaply.

A 2"x4" flood table is around $60, a 27 gallon res. at Lowes or Home Depot is about $15, submersible pump and 1/2" hose $25
air pump $15, and your airstones and air tubing for another $20.

So for less than $150 you will have a nice ebb and flow system.

I am in the process of setting up my flowering room. Plan on starting my clones this weekend...newbie hydroponic grower here! It looks like I will be using House and Garden formulas... recommended from a good friend and grower.

What do you need air stones/pump for? I thought that was a DWC setup. Isn't the ebb and flo just fill up the pots of medium/plants with solution like 2-5 times a day?

i dont think the multi flow system is on the market anymore. the CAP ebb and grow system is good, way better production than using flood trays. you can pick up the sentinel MEF, very similar to the e&G but a new design and costs more. theres a whole thread dedicated to the bucket system and i dont know one person who doesnt think its the best

I found the sentinel MEF system for $589 plus shipping from www.edenhydroponic.com. I don't mind spending $750 for a nice system if it if the best on the market for what I am looking for: high yields with somewhat low maintenance. This might be a good fit. Any other suggestions on where to purchase the sentinel system, or any other systems I should look into?

I could make my own but if I would be willing to pay more if I can get a tried and true system to get my yield up just 5% from the homemade version...that would be huge in the long run. I have had a hard time getting past all of the commercial sites in my research quest for the best ebb and flo... any help or experience would greatly be appreciated!

I personally am not a ebb and flow grower, although i do use it to veg a couple of mothers at a different location. But I have a friend who swears by this setup http://www.hydroponics.net/i/273012 he bought. We have compared yeilds and it is pretty close to the same for his system and mine (aero setup) but I will say his is definitely alot less headache at times than mine is.bongsmilie

the Greentrees setup you speak of looks alright...real similar to the CAP ebb and gro system. I still like the sentinel setup, although it is about $100 more the system is completely food grade and has alarms to alert you the system isn't working properly or there is a leak. It seems to be a brand new system that not many retailers carry. It is hard to find reviews on this sentinel system. The only site I can find it for sale is www.edenhydroponic.com. Anybody have experience from them? They have a strange skimpy website so I want to make sure they are legit before handing over my credit card info.

Yes they are in Jackson MI which is about 30 min from me. I have been to their shop twice its a pretty nice shop with everything you need. The web site is shady looking but they have just opened and are probably still getting everything together. They were very friendly and gave me a huge catalog and also told me if there was anything I liked I could just call give my credit card and have it shipped to my door. To save me another trip picking up

If you are from the area there is also a new hydroponic store on W. Michigan called Mighty grow they pretty much carry all the same items but this place was very clean and well organized which is important to me also very friendly staff and professional also important.

Eden hydro does advertise having Advanced nutes which is a plus but i did not happen to see any so if they do it may be a small selection. Although i was in there on a mission which didnt include any nutes and could of looked over them.

That sentinel system only comes with 6 pots and no reservoir. That's what turned me off to it. The C.A.P Ebb & Gro and The Greentrees Multi-Flow can be had for $450 shipped with 12 pots and Res. on ebay.

I've got no idea to tell you the truth but most of their stuff is way below retail..I don't think I've payed close to retail on anything I've gotten from there..
