Help Me Design My Closet! Pics!

hey guys and gals, I'm wanting to do a closet grow and do about 2-3 plants...

here are some pics of my closet, I'm thinking about cutting a hole in the bottom of the wall and installing a A/C duct.

taking the attic door off (not the bedroom door to the closet), and lining it with panda film... then I can cut a 4 inch hole in the top of the film, and have an exhaust and exhaust out to the attic... I can help control closet temps by setting my AC in my room!

at least those are my noob plans... if anyone can give me any recommendations, that'd be great

the strains i wanna grow are:
blue hash (blueberry x CA hash plant)
blue widow (blueberry and white widow)
and white widow

soil grow...

dimensions are 52 inches in length, 51 inches in width, 7 foot ceiling, sloping down to 4 feet...

I was thinking 400w HPS, but every tells me this is under 50 lumens per square foot, so people tell me to get a 600w. But if I'm only utilizing the middle space for 2-3 plants at most, should I really get a light to cover every inch of the closet?

I mean I can, I just want to make sure it will be the right light...

just get the 400 watt, i dont think you really need that extra 200 watts when your growing in that small space with only a couple plants

i WOULD GET A 400 WATT WITH A 3 X3 FT GROW TENT IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT SMELL. ALSO I WOULD GET A AIR COOLED REFLECTOR. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE. IT WORKS GOOD. I AM GROWING WHITE WIDOW AT THE MOMENT IN SOIL.

alright yeah man stick with the 400hps if you plan on staying on only 3 plants maybe 4.
i would just get a grow tent man if not hang the light with an inline filter where the clothes would go and then hook the carbon filter to the exhaust and put it right into your attic. cut the hole in the door and put a flange on it so oyu can make it air tight man.and tehn just vent the heat to the attic.you shouldnt need and a/c with such a small space as long as you get an air coolable hood ya know.
id say do 4 plants ya know man and get the one from htg supply. they run you cheap and snag the one with the dual arc bulb that has a mh and an hps in there so oyu can veg and flower better ya know.
thats my suggestion or what i would do but you dont need a tent if you cut a hole in that door going to the attic which you already said so. btu good luck man this shouldnt be too had but setting it up. also go with soil man. and then when the plants are done oyu can jsut dry in the closet from the rack.lol

That'll show you a cheap and easy Grow tent made with panda film, duct tape and PVC tubing.

For the smell i'd use a DIY carbon filter, that way you can spend more of your money on your grow.

I'd buy some wood for the attic space, just to make more of a frame for the walls..

Just put the pieces across lengthways and screw them to the wooden beams that are already there, that way you have something to pin the panda film to if you do decide to grow in that area too.

so I really like that tent idea, but why should I do that when I can dedicate the whole closet to the grow?

I didn't mean for you to do the tent idea..
i was just showing you how you could use the panda film.

overlap the edges and duct tape them.

in your opinion

should I go with a

A) 400 watt for the whole closet
B) 600 watt
C) panda film some of the closet off and go 400w

The bigger the better is all i can say. If you have the money then get a 600 watt HPS, if you don't buy a 400 watt HPS and save up for a 600 watt HPS for when you put your girls into Flowering.

They would love the Extra lighting.

plus if you have two lights you can have a continuous cycle going..

Veg with 400, take cuttings, put the veg plants into flowering with the 600 light and then put the cuttings in the 400 watt space.

yeah have 2 seperate rooms. one for vegging and one for flowering so oyu constantly have bud cycling and growing. the 400 should def be enough to start out with and you wouldnt have to split it up to start with just center it under the light but you could and use a reflective siding to better direct the light and not waste any but a 400 should do it but yes bigger is better but no need to go over a 600. any way works jsut base it off oyu budget and what you want to do.
what do you want as a final product and how much is oyur decisions influenced by the money???
