Help me pick the right GDP Pheno

A fellow medical grower has four GDP grown from seed - (Connoisseur Genetics Grand Daddy Purple S1.)

We both have found that the purple pheno is the best for our symptoms, but haven't grown it ever, and need a little help selecting the proper pheno.

Out of the four plants here, one is very different looking. The leaves have a limey color to them, and almost look a little mottled. Very droopy and different looking leaves than the other three plants, which look to be all the same pheno.

Is anyone familiair with the different GDP phenos? Can you help us identify the keeper out of these plants? Again, we're looking for the more purple urkle dominant phenos.

We're assuming the strange looking one with the wider and floppier leaves is probably more big-bud dominant, but can't be sure, and we don't want to cull the wrong plant.

Thanks.

Below are the three similar phenos together.

All together now...

Pheno types are normally picked after flower , you can't judge how well each will flower whilst in veg , they all look healthy ?
Flower them all :)

the REAL way to pick a Pheno:

#1: Label your plants. GDP 1-4.
#2: Take clones from GDP 1-4, 2+ clones each to ensure survival. Label clones based on MOTHERS.
#3: Flower said mothers. keep track of progress.
#4: Choose clones based on mother plant characteristics.

Your done! repeat the process for maximization of awesomeness.

Thanks Corbat, that is normally exactly what I do. However, he's got some very tight plant limits, and can't flower more than two of these. The other two have to go.

I know it's really hard to pick phenos in veg, but we need to go off a best guess. The differences are pretty distinct between the two phenos, although maybe a little tough to tell due to my amateur photo taking abilities.

I realize GDP is traditionally clone only, so most folks will have only seen the desirable purple pheno, but just wanted to see if we could get some opinions.

If you are looking for a keeper, keep the ones that thrive. If they suck at all even in veg, i normallu dont keep them for another go round

GDP in my exp was always a short squat bushy midget plant, of which everything (except for a few fan leaves) turned purple. very bushy, it got annoying. also, it wanted more cal/mag than any other plant i had worked with til that point.

good luck!

Thanks brother, very helpful info.

The three similar plants are definitely branching out a lot more than the other, and they don't seem to be growing much taller. At least their upward growth is quite slow compared to others.

Thanks for the tip on the calmag, I'll be sure to pass that info on.
