How old is your panel?
Sometimes old breakers seize and don't trip when they are overloaded.
Blue flames usually mean arc flash which is very dangerous.
You need to get an electrician there asap

Need a picture.

Im assume a few things here - This has worked before and this just started happening. You did not just add something new.

Things it could be :
Short on incoming line
Bad breaker
Bad bus bar
Bad ballast with bad breaker
Short in main electrical panel

Again, needs some pics

Edit : Im going to take an educated guess and say your incoming power to the breaker box are shorting to the box somehow.

the breakers are scuare D. and there is a 220 line and two 110 lines. they have been running for like 45 months no problem. sumtimes they would trip but not all the time. i dont know if it has anything to do with it but the guy who instaled them said there wasnt enough room so he put spacers in for the 220 line. also one of my lights was flickering a bit i thought that was odd

you need to find where the short came from or it will happen again normally when that happens the breaker should pop to prevent spark or flame.hard to tell without pics.you can also buy a tester looks like a plug with no cord and has 3 lights on it for 5 bucks, if you plug it into the wall it can tell you if somthing is not wired properly.

I have someone comming out today to look at it. I hope it doesnt cost to much to fix. how much does a whole new breaker box cost?

what? Im not familiar with any spacers? Ive fucked with a lot of electrical shit...... Something bad is going on.

Is there a main break in this box or just individual breakers? Go look at your house panel, its got the on main breaker up top. Does yours have this? "probably not"

Is this a legal tap from your main breaker box or is this a "special box". If you live in a legal state then definitely get electrician out there.

I can probably walk you through it if you have pictures but this shit is dangerous......

yeah it does. the house is pretty new. there wasnt enough slots so he said he put spacer to fit it. I didnt think that sounded right either. im running 8,000 watts just off the new lines that were put in.
