I have been growing these 2 plants indoor for quite some time about 6 months. The big one is starting to fall over and the bottom part seems to be dying. i recently changed it from 24 hr to 12 hr lighting. i am still using the same florescent bulbs as before because i am unable to get the hight pressure sodium where i am. i am using 2 20 watt bulbs. i don't know if i will be able to but them with that, but i really don't know what else to do. the smaller plant seems fine though. i have done a lot of trimming which may have been a mistake. i have read a lot and believe it could be a mg. deficiency but am not sure.

the light is way too far from the plants...they are stretching to get more light.....id say thats your biggest problem at this point...

not really...you need more light ...even if you have to add more cfl's thats what you have to do...they will never make it with 2 bulbs......

Yea, totally stretched out and not getting enough light in general. As far as I know, people who use fluorescents usually have many of them (like eight).

im surprised youve even got them that big with only 2, 20 watt bulbs. thats crazy. you need muchhhh moree light

so i guess it's time to go light shopping. other than that, the plants look healthy??

thanks a lot for your quick replies. esp. caligrown

More light = better. Less the light means your plant will make less leaves because it doesn't need more to absorb that 2x 20 watt floros... if you have like a 600watt HPS the plant will make more leaves so it can absorb it. thats why plants grow faster under better light because it trys to make as much leaves (absorbers) of light.

In your case your plant is kind of like "im fine with these leaves ive got... i dont need to make more because there isn't even enough light for me to absorb anyway.. so fuck it..." Not only light.. but water/nutes/ enviornment.. all play a role.

2 of the 20watt lights aint ganna cut it man. thats why your plants look like that. you want them bushy and filled.

This one is under CFL's.. 4x23watt CFL's... (20 days in)

you can notice that.. 20 days of CFL VS 5 days of HPS..

Check this out. This is under a 600watt HPS 5 days in.. HUGE Difference in growth. (same plant) Gained almost half its size in 5 days!!

No they don't look healthy at all. :o

Sorry buddy but I would do a bit of research and start over. they are much too stretched to produce anything worthwhile and could very well be wasting your time.

Get some proper lights and do some reading here. This site has great references.:blsmoke::peace:

Good luck and sorry for being so blunt about my reply.

no if he gets more bulbs in there he can get a yield still. he just needs to look up alotta posts and read up on stretched plant growth. Good Luck Dude :blsmoke:

p.s get a hps like 150 watts if you can and a socket for it, then just go 12/12 and bud it. if its a female youll get a yield, hoe it doesnt have balls! lol

Yes this is true and I am sorry is I sounded so harsh and may have discouraged you.:?

Lighting is crucial and you definitely need something more substantial.

You could transplant them into bigger pots and buy some good potting soil mix. Try and transplant them a bit further down so that there is not too much of the stem exposes but put it down too far or you might get a stem rot problem.

Then you could cut them in half and make them grow stronger.

But I really do believe that it would be much simplier for you to start some more seeds. you could do both.
Plus you have the support of looks of peeps here. :)

We hope to see you back and posting with us.:blsmoke::peace:

i live in a place where it is very difficult to get seeds.

what do you think the chances of cloning are??

i went out today and bought more lighting so hopefully i can save something

Ok then keep them growing but don't clone them. cloning is much more difficult than you may think.

That is excellent that you bought new lighting. Great step in the right direction.

You can purchase seeds from many places. I got mine from a place that delivers no problem and there are many out there that do also.

Look up a search on seeds. :)

I am glad you came back
