She is being fed Dutch Pro A&B for coco. I thought she was hungry so I have upped the feed to 20ml of A & B which gives me a reading of 1.3 EC. I use a blue labs PH pen and my PH is 6.0. She was fine a week ago when I transplanted her and she has grown a lot in her new pot. Could she just be underfed? I have increased the feed from 16ml of A&B to 20ml of A&B in the last week because I thought she looked hungry. I am feeding until run off daily. But last week I was only feeding her once every 2 days while she settled into her new pot because I transplanted from a 1 liter pot to a 12.5 liter airpot and I thought by only watering her every two days it will give her chance to root out her new pot.Needs a little more info like what's she's being fed and how often and at what strength? Magnesium is locked out, the reason might be excess K or pH being out of range. More info is needed to give a better answer.
Cheers!
So maybe it’s something with the new grow medium she isn’t happy with. She is being fed Dutch Pro A&B for coco. She's in the same grow medium (coco). It's canna coco professional plus that I'm using. she has been growing a lot in her new pot. She has tripled in size in the last week or two. I think the transplant went good because she has been growing a lot. Here is a picture of her last week when she was a lot more greenSo maybe it’s something with the new grow medium she isn’t happy with.
I think this alignment might have been starting a while ago. She looks a little droopy in this picture. I have grown in those pots and used coco as well. When I did I would add some extra cal mag. She's in the same grow medium (coco). It's canna coco professional plus that I'm using. she has been growing a lot in her new pot. Yeah it has been going on for a while i think. I have increased the feed over the last few days and I am hoping that she is just underfed? Because it seems like an underfeeding issue to me, either that or a lockout? My tap water is hard water and I have never added calmag in the past and I've had really good grows that turn out all green and healthy, even at the end of flower they are still all green and healthy.I think this alignment might have been starting a while ago. I don't think I need that because I have done successful grows in the past by just using A&B for coco. My tap water is hard water so it already has a lot of calcium and magnesium in my water I believe. Although, if I was using soft water then I think I would need to add calmagI added this stuff.

That’s a tuff situation. Some strains are more finicky and I have had strains that needed more of some nutes and others that needed next to nothing. I still think she looks great. Sometimes plants are t perfect and you just have t accept it for what it is. Maybe shove her in the back of the tent and keep her out of your mind , give her the basics and let her be.Yeah it has been going on for a while i think. I'm 34 days from sprout and feed 0.7 EC pH ~7.0 4x a day in 1.5 gallon containers. Coco coir plants should be fed to runoff optimally several times a day for highest growth rates. Lower feeding strength and more frequent feedings will sort your problems and increase your rate of growth. She is being fed Dutch Pro A&B for coco. I'm hoping that it's just an underfeeding issue and now that I have raised the feed she will start producing new growth that will be green? I didn't raise the feed when I transplanted her and she has been on the same amount of feed for the last two weeks so I thought because she is starting to get deficiencies that I would raise the feed. She has grown a lot in these past couple of weeks so I believe her being underfed could be the issue here. She has tripled in size and I never bothered raising the feed in that time. My other plants are totally green and healthy and they are in the same environment. And they do seem to need a lot less feed. I guess it's just down to the phenotype. My other plants are only getting 1.0 EC and they are fine but they aren't as big as this other phenotype that is having the problems. I thought watering 1 time per day until run off was enough? I am in 12.5 liter airpots which I believe is around 3 U.S gallons. If I was in 1.5 gallon containers I would probably water twice a day. although i am feeding by hand so it's a lot more work.I'm 34 days from sprout and feed 0.7 EC pH ~7.0 4x a day in 1.5 gallon containers. Oh yeah that’s it. Give her more food . I think you solved the problem. I hope so, I was just checking in to see what you guys thought, if raising the feed doesn't solve the issue then maybe it is a lockout or some other problem.Oh yeah that’s it. Give her more food . I think you solved the problem. Awesome!
It all depends on the pot and plant size but as a general rule you want to keep pot size down in coir to feed more often to move the off gas, replenish oxygen and keep pH and EC in range. My other plants are only getting 1.0 EC and they are fine but they aren't as big as this other phenotype that is having the problems. The rest of the plants are fine, nice and green and healthy.
. I am feeding until run off daily. But last week I was only feeding her once every 2 days
About two weeks ago my plant was only very small in a 1 liter pot and I transplanted her into a 12 liter airpot and since then she has been on the same amount of feed all of this time so I'm guessing because she has tripled in size over the last couple of weeks in her new pot that the nutrient deficiencies I am experiencing is due to lack of nutrients? I have upped the feed over the last few days so I am hoping that the problem doesn't get any worse now she is getting more feed. But if it does continue to get worse then it's probably a nutrient lockout? It all depends on the pot and plant size but as a general rule you want to keep pot size down in coir to feed more often to move the off gas, replenish oxygen and keep pH and EC in range.
Coco coir is constantly being broken down and trying to reach its natural state of pH 5.5, it's therefore often better to feed at the upper range of pH 7.0 since the pH in the medium will often land on pH 6.2-5.7 after being diluted with the natural acids in the coir after a feed.
Hope that makes any sense! Feel free to dig and poke my head. I've gone through most problems growing in soilless.
Cheers and all the best of luck!
It never hurts to do a runoff check now and then, record EC and ph of the input and runoff solutions.About two weeks ago my plant was only very small in a 1 liter pot and I transplanted her into a 12 liter airpot and since then she has been on the same amount of feed all of this time so I'm guessing because she has tripled in size over the last couple of weeks in her new pot that the nutrient deficiencies I am experiencing is due to lack of nutrients? I'm not sure if the increased feeding has solved the issue yet as it's only been the last 2 or 3 days that I have increased the feeding.Hey, sucks to have issues.Let’s go through some possibilities.
As someone else pointed out it looks like magnesium deficiency, but if increased feeding hasn’t helped then maybe the feeding caused a nutrient lockout, which is also close to what that same person pointed out. Would suggest flushing and feeding lighter but add some cal mag.
Are the rest of the plants clones from the same mother or different genetics? Different genetics are sometimes hungrier for some nutrients than others. There’s a chance the strain doesn’t prefer the food or feeding schedule.
If you mean watering, that’s normal but feeding daily is too much. I’ve never used your nutrient system so maybe you are supposed to feed daily, but I doubt it. Again, water daily but cut back on feeding to whatever the manufacturer schedule suggests. If it’s just a typo, try adding some magnesium along with your feeding or add to your watering.
Just some ideas, good luck!
