Help me quick please ppm question

Ok so when I did fresh res change ppm was 460, today (8 days later) I did a res change and the ppm is 380. So what does that mean ?? On this res change should I give it more or less nutes ??
 
SO no matter what my chart says about feeding as long as the ppm stays constant Im feeding them right ??
 
As long as you keep your PH right, like i said feed em what they'll take 500-600 ppm should be good for transition to flower

4 gal res, with 1 plant. The res measures about The 4 gal res measures 10" wide x 20" long x 11" tall (obv plant isn't sitting in 11" of water more like 8") Not sure if that is considered DWC or what.


My question is I first set my ph to around 5.0 then a day later it rises to 6.5 - 6.7 range. I drain all the water out and set it back to around 5.0, next day it rises to 6.5 -6.7 range and stays there is this acceptable??????
 
Definently not when doing dwc you want it to stay between 5.5-5.8 ph. Dou you have airators in your water? Do you test ph after adding nutes or before? Nutes can throw your ph off if they don't auto ph themselves

airators you mean air stones to move water around ??? Yes I have 2 of them. My setup is actually the superlocker 2.0 from supercloset.com..... If I drop ph to like 4.0 would it shock the plant ???


Also yeah I put nutes in water then stir in very good in a bigger bucket, let it sit for 10 mins then test ph.
 
Just try 4.0 it could take longer for all your nutes to dissolve...wait like 45 minutes or so then stir and check your ph
 
Sounds as though you're using tap water. MANY municipalities treat with a buffer that will try and return the ph to it's specified range- usually around 6.5-6.7, ever so slightly acidic to help kill and keep bacteria from growing. With that said, you can (a) keep treating it over and over, until you exhaust the buffer or (b) quit fuckin' around with tap water and get distilled-$.99 gal, or RO water if you have access.
If I'm wrong about what water you're using, how are your roots looking?
