Help me. When is the girl ready for harvest??!!

a little update from over a week ago when I posted. there doing fine. Buds have gotten bigger. But as I am a first time grower I don't know how long I have left until harvest. I know I am close, and that buds fatten in the last week or 2. Just don't want to harvest early want to harvest at the buds peak

looking real good for a 1st timer....best way to tell and im sure you have read this before or heard it before but here it is again, u need to take a look through a microscop or a 420 scope and check the trichs....80 percent milky with 20 percent amber, cut her down....all milk, leave up another week, and clear in there whatsoever, two weeks...hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I have three growing. The other is like this one in the pictures just a week behind on flowering. The third is more bushy but it started flowering a month after them and I clipped that one because people said you get more of a yield.

Yea I heard the best way is to use a scope. but because I am living in a new country I
Haven't got a clue where to go and find one. Where I am is tropical weather so I used that to my advantage to try my first grow.
I have noticed the past week the buds have swollen slightly. I just don't know how much the buds swell if mine still have more swelling to do and a rough estimate on harvest. I.E next week? Or 2 weeks or 3 weeks. I did the whole growing thing no problem, and the last part when to harvest has left me stumped (I am just eager to smoke it and its hampering my judgement)

Don't know where you live but if you have internet you have postal service. Send for a cheap $4.00 USD jewelers loupe from Amazon or eBay. Pay for expedited shipping. They are little and it's cheap to send.

Check this one out. 40X.Anything bigger is unnecessary.I prefer scopes for really good checks but these will do any day.

And this is my "go to" tool. I have a 40X and a 100X (useless as it shakes because the resolution is way too high. Trichs look like baseball bats) and a 20X jewelers loupe. That's it.

Yes go with a jewelers loupe as hotrodharley suggests, the only thing is you could be ready in as little as a week, see how your hairs are starting to recede, once the hairs have all curled in its only another 4-7 days after that, but I would still buy a jewelers loupe if you plan on growing again. Keep posting pics you may have to chop it before you get a loop. Subbed

Thanks for the link. I checked and it says 10 to 14 days delivery for me. I ordered it.
staying at my families holiday home, taken a year off from working to enjoy surfing and then in winter skiing. the weather is good, that's why I decided to try my first grow. Only reason I didn't buy a scope because I don't know where the shops are that sells it. But I just ordered the scope now online. Going to need it for the other 2 girls and the next grow I do.

I do have a question, do the buds fatten right at the end before harvest? A week before harvest or 2. Where the hairs sticking out I can see it getting bigger (swelling).

Thanks for the advice. Good informations. I will keep an eye on the hairs so when they all curl up, then during the week after that I will check and see if i can tell if its ready.
That is what I was worried about. By the time I get the delivery 10 14 days might be to long and I miss the best day to harvest this girl.
That's kind of what I was looking for, for someone to tell me what signs to look out for when the plant is ready. But yea the scope is the best way to be 100%.

Thanks for all the information. That's what I was thinking, a week or 2.
I will post pictures.
Today it was cloudy and looked like tropical rain, so I covered both plants to protect the girls. Water proof cloth so it don't cause condensation. Might just leave it so they are in complete darkness for the whole week.

Just so you know there's varying opinions on when to chop, I chop at the first sight of amber peak thc but some people wait as long as 50% amber which is supposed to give a more sedative effect and is supposed to be good for anxiety.
