Its apparent you dont understand what im talking about.I would definitely disagree...
IMHO I believe that 1 plant per tub/bucket is best, it prevents root tangle and makes reservoir changes a bit easier.... As for "not disturbing the bubbles", Do you even know what you're talking about? It is actually surface agitation that adds dissolved oxygen to your water, not air bubbles.... Do you think that those bubbles somehow "pop" under water and replenish the oxygen? And if that is the case, how come none of the streams or rivers I've seen with plants growing out of them have air stones? (I've checked!) Also, I have found that tightly wrapping your reservoir with IR blocker insulation will dramatically stabilize the temperature, used in conjunction with a frozen bottle of water and your temps should be below par!
Stick to soil Doc! Unwashed clay pellets will RAISE YOUR PH and EC! The residue is clay powder, RINSE thoroughly with WATER no soap.

Not to be a downer, but you should really read up a bit more. It seems to me, you're jumping in head first and don't have the slightest clue how to swim....Also, you shouldn't take swimming lessons from someone who can't swim.
i almost bought jiffy pellets but rockwool plugs are cheap and u get a LOT of them and according to alot of sources they are efficient. i have heard alot of good things about jiffy pellets and i will definitely be trying them in the futures. i hope this hydro grow works out it seems like something i could get into.I tried that and honestly I prefer jiffy pops
How does a floating round bottle block your bubbles? Are they magic bubbles that don't know how to travel the path of least resistance? Does any floating object prevent bubbles from popping?dont put a frozen bottle in the dwc bucket because it passes over the airstone and blocks the bubbles. You want the bubbles to pop and splash water on the hydroton.
Again, a misinformed statement.... You can put the bottom of the net pot in the water as long as you are providing enough dissolved oxygen. Most people believe you should put the net pot in the water because, get this, THEY FLOAT! That means if your pots/hydroton/plant isn't heavy enough the net pot will float up a little and knock itself out of the reservoir.Don't put the net pot in the water.
@Dr.Pecker I never meant to offend you, propagating misinformation seems to be a daily thing here on RIU, and it bothers me. I take what's written for its face value, no one knows what the hell you meant, only what you type. You say put a frozen water bottle in your reservoir, to me that means drop that mofucker right in there, roots, air stones, nutrients and all.... That alone could shock your plant enough that root capillaries actually close off entirely and your plant will stop feeding, possibly for days..... You say wash your hydroton, where I come from we wash with soap....

That's what I'm talking about.thanks brotha! im just tryna learn thats all!
i found a pretty big tub at a hardware store that would fit the buckets in the bottom of my tent so i could contain temps i think i will go that route to add frozen bottles..
