Do you happen you have a soldering iron? If so I bet that it is just something that needs to be re-soldered inside there. (if the connection is re-established by bending).

Crack her open and post a few pics of the inside.
kinda curious on how to crack it open.

here is the pic. There are no screws. I'm wondering if i have to pull/pry the yellow label part of to expose them.

well it might just use snaps, look for seams. Also companies like to hide screws under labels so run your hand over the labels to feel for any soft spots. You just want to look for any piece that might look like it comes off. Chances are it will lead you to a screw or something that will allos you to remove the next piece and so on. if you have to pry the yellow part off its ok just try to keep it as straight as possible, and if you do pry try to pry the longside.

Also you could try googling 'take apart (or disassemble) [blank]' and look for a youtube video. You might get lucky.

I picked up a ph test kit from a pet store today and checked the ph..... The color was green and by the card it indicated ~6.4. The chart starts at 6.0 which is yellow, i wish it went under? Anyone know if a generic chart would be a good choice to match colors. I want my ph around 5.4-6.0. Are the test kits that accurate? Should i have bought the kit from a hydro store?
