HELP MY PLANT HAS STOPPED GROWING

So I have had this plant growing for 2 Weeks and 3 days and all of a sudden it stopped growing after the first week so it's been in this state for a week and half. I really don't want my pant to die because it my last seed.

Ps when I first planted them I used like the soil what was in my tomato plant and now I just bought fox farms ocean forest soil

Hmmm...no necrotic tissue, no discoloration, leaves droopy and unresponsive. I would guess the soil is too dense and not providing enough aeration, or you have overwatered, or both. I would transplant into the FFOF pronto. But, I would add more perlite to the soil (60% soil-40% perlite) before transplanting. Also, the FFOF will provide more than enough food for a good 2-3 weeks ( or longer depending on how many gallons you transplant into) so no need to add additional food and burn your plant.

This is what I would do if this were my grow. I am sure others will have their own opinions.

Good Luck and Great Growing

You're doing something wrong. My plants look like that 4-5 days after breaking ground, and proceed very quickly. If you're at 17 days, something is seriously wrong. Not enough light, not enough air flow, not enough nutrients.

What soil are you using? I see round things which look like time-release nutrients? That's going to cause you problems at some point. It looks overwatered (too wet, staying too wet for too long). Cannabis likes full wet/dry cycles, fairly rapidly (2-4 days?). Your soil's lack of perlite doesn't look like it would do that.

How do you water? Do you wait for it to feel dry (when you lift it, it feels light?) Or, do you treat it like a houseplant and add a little water every day? (undesirable). Do your cups have holes in the bottom for drainage? You water enough to get runoff?

Looks healthy. Hasn't even started the second set. Keep her. Mutants bring some amazing stuff!

Looks like a stunted(mutated) seedling. I wouldn't say your doing anything wrong. No deficiency and no light issue. Just slow. It looks over watered though.

But keyword - healthy.

What about it looks healthy?

It don't. I would say over water and or compact soil.

Looks healthy. Means in good shape. Unhealthy is sick. Here like this.

Your assumption is the problem. The spectrum of Healthy to Un-healthy is wider then your immediate response.

And this mans plant is on the healthy side.

Its my two cents.

I used FFOF a lot and this is to much for such a young plant...so atm over feeding is your problem. There are a few ways to remedy this... Try to repot into something like happy frog, which is what I use for seedlings or new clones, or try to use a weak light source assuming your not already using flurecents. Also with the later method I would try a weak nute solution say 1/2 normal feeding to flush ffof soil if not transplanted.

just out of curiosity are you using to Ro water? Or any nutes?

The op stated the plant is in some unknown soil and is going into FFOF. I agree with you and think it is too much for a seedling especially an ill one. So, I was suggesting a more perlite buffered mix because he already has the FFOF. I have always used FFHF with 30% perlite, never had any issues.

Doesn't Fox farms soil have enough perlite in it and I water it every day I cut 2 holes on the side of the cup for drainage and the way I water it i keep putting water until I see the water come out of the hole and I use regular sink tap water Iam going to transplant the plant to a 5 gallon bucket and Iam going to put like 20 holes at the bottom for drainage

Well, the way I read your op was that it was still in the original soil. At any rate, seedlings do not require daily watering, especially not soil soaking amounts. Which pretty much ensures that the plant is overwatered and the roots are drowning. Less watering and more aeration would in all probability help this plant tremendously. But this is all my opinion. Don't take what I or anyone else says as a definite fix for your plant. It is your grow and only you can determine what she needs when all is said and done.

Do some researching and study and find answers, on your own. That is a big part of the fun of growing and gives more of a sense of pride and accomplishment when smoking your own budz.

If u stick ur finger in the soil about 2 inches, if ur finger is wet, with soil stuck to ur finger its 2 wet.

When you do a plant pot put some ordinary gravel up to the level of the drain holes in the bottom/side, then fill with soil. This will help keep the drain holes from getting plugged by clumping soil around the drain holes and help with proper drainage.

Be sure your plant pot is elevated above the water catcher...or better yet, put it on a slanted mini-trough-shelf just high enough to get a water catcher(dishpan etc) to sit under the edge of it. This way it will be much easier to dump the run-off water.

Myself personally would put about an inch of gravel on the slanted mini-trough to help with aeration etc:)

Get a hygrometer to help you with the watering. A hygrometer is only a reference point and the reading should not be taken as absolute. You'll eventually have to use your own judgment as well.

If I were going to set up a single plant watering system...there's a few very cheap/inexpensive ways to do it.
My mom's are on DIY drip valves. I have hooks and catch hooks in the ceiling and each one gets a five gallon bucket res. I use the hot/cold water valve taken from the backs of old washing machines. These valves activate at 120vac and can be hooked directly to a timer. The machine or garden hose will screw onto the valve. You'll have to put a fitting on the res for the hose. The drip rings are aluminum pie pans with pin holes and a slot for the plant. I fold the edge of the cut up and get it level so the water goes through all the pin holes made in the pie pan. Drain to waste...
A shelf and a beer cooler with the water spout in the bottom side would make a great res:)
Kinda like giving plasma to a patient:)

I'm in rock so I have to top up the res every five days/a soil grow would never use that much in five days.

No it does not have enough...after a few waterings it will be compacted...I use anywhere from 25-50% more perlite...the more you use the better drainage and usually will dry out quicker. I would avoid watering everyday and also avoid partial watering a as this creates uneven pockets of water and doesn't distribute water well into the rootsystem.
Most growers will tell you to try and adapt a watering schedule of water then no water for two days...this alows your soils ph to balance and provides the correct scenario for your plant to breakdown and uptake all micronutrients.

i would advise against transplanting into something that big, mostly because your roots are probably small and fragile judging by the leaves. maybe try something like a 1 gallon with the suggested ffof mix with perlite. Once you get it into that 1 gallon container, you should only have to give it a tiny bit of water every 2-3 days (like 2-4 oz) until it starts to actually drink some. There is no need for runoff at this point, especially if you go into ffof.

STOP watering it every day! #1 cause of death in plants cared for by man is overwatering. Followed closely by people and their nutrients they are so eager to use.

I don't understand Fox Farms. The photos of the soil look like it's not suitable for growing cannabis (too dense/heavy, not enough perlite). Then there is confusion about when to start feeding Fox Farms nutrients (because the soil is typically too hot). An FF user was saying a few days ago it's a simple system: just water once a week, feed half-strength once a week. But, I don't see it. Watering every 3-4 days in that soil would surely(?) be overwatering. (And then the nutrients in the soil vs. nutrients poured in.).

It seems like a lot of new growers have trouble with Fox Farms. But, that could be that new growers choose it more than other products, and it's a problem with the growers. I don't know. But, how to use the soil and nutrients seems perplexing to me (for what should be a "system" like Roots Organic?).

I use regular sink tap water
What is the TDS (ppm or ec) of your tap water? If you don't have a TDS pen (HM EZ-TDS or TDS-3 on Amazon, $15-$20), you can call your water provider. They should be able to give you annual average PPM.

My tap water is about 800ppm. I can't grow cannabis with that. It leaves no room for nutrients. I mix RO water and tap to get 150ppm.
