Help! My seedlings just sprouted!

First time growing, i have 6 seedlings that have sprouted, well 5, one is lagging behind, but anyway...he should be up soon. I have them all inside a tupperwear container with baggies over their individual cups. I know now that they are outside the dirt they need co2 and light as well as the water and heat now. What I need to know is, do I remove the bags and the dome structure now? Or let them sit a while longer? Do I need to cut the tupperwear container and insert fans ASAP? Should i definatley remove the baggies right now? They literally just sprouted, 2 last night and the rest this morning. So please help!! What do I need to do to my babies now!!!

Simply remove the Tupperware there is no reason to ruin it. The domes are only necessary during the sprouting. As soon as they are up remove it. I move my seedlings from dark to light as they come above the surface and put them under a small T5.

Oh and don't be worried about one lagging, so far for me the runts have had the best smoke ;)

Hey thanks for the quick great replys guys. As of right now I have 2 23W 120VAC 60Hz 350mA FLE2HT3/2/SW 1600LUMENS GE Helical CFL bulbs. I'm a first timer with limited supplies but I'm hoping these will work. Should I be looking to get more or just go with what I have? I'm not looking to supergrow here just grow a few little babies.

So the consensus is remove the baggies and dome and just let them sit openly by the lights correct?

Seriously lazy as there is enough info posted and shared that makes this thread redundant ! Read and read some more verses asking others for simple advice .

No offense meant and best of Karma to your emergency at hand :)

No the correct answer is remove the dome and baggies when you put them under a light or you will either poach them or damp them off ;)

Yes your light is enough for the time being.

Now do not feed them for a good 2 weeks or until they begin to lighten up in color. Just give them a little pH'ed water. That should be all they need for the time being.

I think we need a little more info on your lights. ;) (Kidding, of course).

As many others have said, remove bags/dome, place under lights (a couple inches away to prevent stretch), and READ! But, at this point, it's pretty simple: just don't overwater, and no nutes for the first week or more (depending largely on your growing medium). Oh, and, most importantly: (1) be patient; (2) for us new growers, less is often more; and (3) read some more!

Good luck and happy growing!

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah I've been doing a lot of reading and video watching. I just kind of paniced this morning when I saw them all coming up I didn't want to leave them under the dome any longer than necessary and I couldn't find an immediate answer. But yes this thread is redundant for others, but people have been very informative for me :) Thank you all for the direct answers to my questions! And LOL, yeah I just typed off all the info on my bulbs, I'm a newbie and I'm giving my babies the utmost care possible ;) . But they are out of the dome, with both bulbs about 3 inches above the plants. I have them in a closet, I have a fan in my window circulating in fresh air, and a small space heater on low inside the closet to keep them nice and warm. They are looking great :) Will be doing more research and will surely be back soon to ask more questions and conversate. Thanks again!

Maybe, when your funds get better, you could add more light...
Take the fixture you have, and put a "Y" splitter [$2.50] at Wally/Lowes/HD and add another lamp, prefer a 6500K 23 w ... or bigger...
Or put three Y splitters and put four lights in your fixture... see where I am going ?
more light-more light...more what ?
Good Luck !!

Yes! I see exactly where you're going! Those are my current goals to get 2 more lights with stronger bulbs to add once they start to get a little bigger. They are only just barely coming up. I have a lot more questions but I will do more research myself before I start to ask FAQ's =P .
