yesterday my plants were looking health as they are still vegging with 4 leaves (not including the 2 that will drop off) i changed my set up to have mylar hanging from the grow light so the plant is completely surrounded by light and now the leaves are slimmer, floppy asif they are wasting away and theres brown spots that look like burns i have raised the light just in case it is the light too close although the 600w hps was 16inches above it is now 20inches above im going to check up on it later but has anyone got any advice?
should my plants survive or is it too late? :fire:

stick to using one thread to ask questions instead of multiples...i.e. look at your "newbie central" thread and respond there

Sounds like a heat problem...maybe the mylar is trapping to much heat. Also a plant with 4 leaves doesn't need a 600 any closer than 3'. Let them establish a little before blasting them that hard. Seedlings love CFL/T5HO because it's softer light (more light then heat, HPS/MH is quite opposite).

Yup I learned with mylar coverings if you dont have them flat and flush against a surface you will get heat spots or solar burns.
