Help needed, burnt or deficient. Sunshine #4 soiless mix, dyna gro nutes.

Okay I tried posting this on an older thread i had made but i was getting no replies, so i made this new one. My problem has gotten quite a bit worse, and 4 plants are showing the same symptoms now. I flushed everything yesterday but only with a roughly a gallon each, so it was not a complete flush. If symptoms do not appear to get better in a day or two I will have to completely flush, 3 gallons per plant. Hopefully someone has some advice and can help me out before they get any worse. I really care about my girls and want to see them in the best health possible. Here is a picture of each one, the biggest and worst looking of them is Rocklock who is looking pretty rough. You can see the first set of leaves on all of them have the yellow/brown creeping up from the tip, and some have it on farther up sets of leaves too.. Temps have been fluctuating from 80-88, which is high i know, any ideas of how to lower it? I am in a 4x4x7 tent, 400w cooled hood with a 440 cfm inline fan, two 4 inch exhaust fans, and a 14 inch oscilating fan blowing air at the bottom.



Any questions or advice would be greatly appreciated! I would really like to fix this problem ASAP!

Nute burn and heat stress usually cause the leaves to curl upward. Your fan might be on too high and drying the leaves. If you flushed with no results its probably not a nute burn.

nitrogen deficiency; lower leaves start to yellow and die, it climbs up the plant. also plant is lime green it should be darker like a crayola crayon.

your flushing is starving it, stop flushing immediately. feed it with half strength nutes(900ppm-1500ppm) every other watering. good luck bro +rep

Okay dirty snowball, you really think i should go that high in the nutrient strength? I felt like i was burning it giving it around 300-400 ppm, i thought it looked more like a chemical burn because how its progressing from the tips of the leaves and back, and leaving a crispyness behind it. But i am not sure what it is though.

hey since its so small you should keep the strength lowish, 1250ppm is half strength. 2500ppm is the max but that's completely pointless cuz mj gows best between 900-1500. your plant will handle half strength, its big enough now... barely, just give it 600-900 if you want to be 100% safe. i still think it can handle 1250ppm now.

300-400ppm is like 1/8th strength nutes, plants grow slowest when ppms fall below 900, and when they go above 1500.
burn shows itself on new growth (at the newest tips) and progresses to the old, you dont have burn, you have hunger right now. im looking forward to the update tomorrow after you feed, i swear on my life you wont regret my advice.

Okay i fed them last night at 750ppms which seemed like alot to me, but we will find out today or tomorow. I appreciate your advice and the information, how the burn would show on the new growth. I really hope this helps the situation, I knew i should have went with FFOF again because it has all the stuff in in already, but i tried this new soil and it sucks.

Well the lights just came on at 5, and they are still getting worse.. I am going to buy some fox farms ocean forrest tomorrow when the hydro store is open, (god knows why they're closed on mondays) and i amd going to try and dig them up and re-transplant into the better soil. I may even yank a few out and transplant them into my hydro bubbler, i don't know... If anybody else has any advice i would really appreeciate it!

Okay heres an update, maybe thigns are starting to look a little greener, i really hope because this shits got me stressing ALOT. I can't even think about anything else and i feel that i am not doing anything to help them. Since my initial post on this website 4 days ago things have gotten exponentially worse so i really hope someone knows what is wrong and can help me.


And then theres this little Flo girl that i planted 5 days later than the rest that still looks great, i don't get it.

Will someone please help me? i am getting no help or replys or anything and I would really like some advice!!

Okay well i'm not getting any responses and i'm freakin out so i gave them 900ppms of grow solution. Hoping this does something, if it gets any worse i'm just gonna probably pull them and start over..

Nothing wrong with that soil, you just aren't using it right.

First off, you need to add some dolomite lime to that or ANY peat based mix. That will also include FF if you get it. 2tbl/gallon of mix, or 1cup/cf of mix. Keeps your pH buffered and supplys cal/mag.

Second, your watering. It looks like just some of the medium is wet in your pics. When you water, saturate the entire medium, no dry areas and water till you get good run off. Little 'sips' of water lead to air pockets, dry spots and is just not a good way to water. Let it dry, then saturate it again.
