Im starting my second grow and im looking to increase my yield, last time i grew i yielded very little but the stuff was quality ( i used low wattage CFL's). This time im using 600watt MH light for veg. and 600watt hps for flowering. I need help as im looking to get aroudn 3/4 ounces per plant. Could people tell me what type of soil and nutes to use and how long they veg./flower for to increase yield to around 3 oz +. Im also looking in gettin a co2 dispenser and good ventilation system.

If your going to use C02 look into it first do your research it aint as simple as jus putting a tank in the grow room .If your looking at 3/4 onces a plant then hydro is the way to go. There is a guy on here called scottyballs he runs a waterfarm for one plants and yeilds 14 ounces now thats a plant lol :D Look him up and learn He's brilliant. He uses the scrog method . best advice is to read and read some more it will slowly all come together mate . Good luck on your quest :D.

Get your environment dialed in, no big temp changes, no high heat days, etc. There will be no argument with that, as environmental factors affect this as much as anything. IMO hydro typically yields more than soil, but i have seen 8 + oz plants out of soil.
Next decide do i want a lot of little plants, or a couple large plants? If you have 3 large plants you veg for 2 months they may yield more than 30 small plants but the small plants need little to no veg time. So you could take down 60 plants in the time you vegg and flower the 3 large.
If you are on a limited plant count a lot of us get a veg room set up so that we can always have plants in different stages, may not help actual yield but timing making it so the harvest is not all at once and then not again for 3 to 4 months (or longer).
Also Co2 will do no good if you are going to vent the room any how, it is meant for sealed rooms, since you will need the fans on while the lights are on the keep temps down, but the co2 only does any good while the lights are on.

if you have a small setup, screening might be ideal for you as well, at least for the sativa dom. everytime a runner shoots up weave it through the screen. start low and you'll end up with like 15 colas

I'm no yield master but if your just looking to yield 3oz then take a look at my setup it simple and cheap. Get a strain known to produce large yields...Northern lights yields pretty good in my experience. And I use LSB or low stress break to keep my plant from growing to the ceiling. I use simple cheap dry nutrients and really only 3 product total for the most part. And as everyone else has said read up on yielding. But anyhow good growing.

3 oz from 600w are you sure thats all you want? if you only want 3 oz there is no need for 600w of light. you should have no problems getting 3 oz off a 600w light even if you mess alot of factors up you should still easily pull 3 oz of 600w

I agree. Even at .5 grams per watt (a doable number) 600 watts should produce a little over 10 oz with HID lighting. You could scale your grow way back if all you want is 3 oz per harvest.

You will be some much happier with those HID lights. Fox farms makes a soil line up and nute line up that is very easy to use. I started with it and was total noob and worked well for me. I like to use Fox farms ocean forest and light warrior with a mix of 2:1 and I throw in some course perlite for a little more drainage. Just make sure if you use Fox farm nutes start at like 1/4 strength of what is recommended on their feeding chart and work your way up. Also, I use just straight Light warrior with no nutes for seedlings and then transplant into 3 gal pots with the OF/LW mix and you can just feed plain water until you flower, given you don't veg more than a few weeks. After you start flowering, you can give your girls a good 2 part flush to rinse out any bound up salts in your soil, and then you can start slowing feed flowing nutes. Also, if using RO water with fox farms, make sure you supplement with some cal-mag. I use epsoms at the rate of 1 tsp/g. Good luck!
