Hey guys I am growing 4 Big Bangs. Mother on right and 3 clones on left.

They are growing on coco fully organic mother is 128days old now and clons are 97 days.

All was going good untill mother started to turn limeish. There I started to give them some alfalfa + seaweed tea. But this didn't helped.

After a while I started to see yellowing and dropping fan leaves.. There I decided to flush them. EC was 2.5, ppm was 1500 and I guess ph around 7.5+ there I realized my PH meter off calibration.

After flushing I think now PH should be 6.5, EC 1.5, PPM 800. And 1 day passed since flushing. I still see yellowing.

I ordered new PH meter but until then what should I do? Time or should I try to do one more flushing?

Photos with net are before flushing

Buy the PH drops. The original no battery needed stuff.

I went through $300 worth of PH meters to learn.... They suck. My last one went titty up 3 weeks into flower. If I hadn't had the drops. The winter storm at the time would have delayed the shipping a week and a half.

These were Blue labs. If you don't want anything but a meter. Whatever brand it is. Get one with a replaceable remote probe.

https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32962476637.html this is the ph meter I use. Its probe can be changeable so far it was holding good but I am out of calibration buffers.

And I have ordered paper tests from Amazon. Hope they will soon be delivered.

first time i have seen the tips cut off of the leaves what is the purpose? and if you use the same water and same feed by now you should be able to estimate your ph without a meter or at least be close until you can get a new one

Same as pruning but plants overally has less stress when you cut tips instead removing whole leaves. Also you still be able to keep old leaves which helps diagnose like this one.

Hope everything will be fixed after ph adjustmemt

PH strips arrived! Unfortunately soil PH is between 9-10, I am not sure how this happened but probably growing organic saved me at this point need to do many flushing rounds for 4 pots :wall:

I will post an update

Hey guys update time,

I guess I will never use electronic PH stuff again, they loose calibration quickly and not accurate.
As I see PH strips are quite practical as well, cutting them into small pieces and using a tweezer worked great.

So far, over a week I did 2 flushing rounds for all. Each pot is 11 liters I guess I used more than 180 liters of water.
Now, they all between 5.5-6.5 Its also quite hard to tell exact PH with the strips, since the ones I got is 0-14 range.
At the last flush PPM was around 800, EC was 1.4 - 1.6

I also lowered lights %25, now PPFD should be around 600 for 12h

All the problems are still progressing...
I also started to see the flower leaves are also yellowing and brown spots started on some fan leaves.
Those leaves with brown spots are also feel dull and crisp.

I still see the last top feed of seaweed + worm compost and the PPM values was quite good.

I don't think the need feeding, do you guys have any suggestions?

All right, I have harvested the plants couple of weeks ago.

The total harvest from mother + 3 clones is 250gr+ so this was not a bad grow indeed although I have gone to extremes.
So in short, I have pushed plants so hard on 2 area:

Soil PH went up to almost 10 mainly because of alfa alfa + bat guano usage on coco-based soil together with the usage of a digital PH meter instead of just papers.
Plus, high-stress environment, way of RH in a tent with intense light. First scheduled just 8h on then raised to 11h to save plants.

But a miracle happened and I can confirm that plants under high stress can produce seeds without a male!
And also when I have fixed the conditions plants recovered perfectly. So, never gave up!

If you wonder:
PH, fixed by flushing them with really acidic water a couple of times over a week. When it is stable for days do regular PHed watering
RH, solved by simply exhausting the tent to outside, instead of room back. This was even a good thing in winter to save RH.

Now I have quite a good stash + a seed per 5gr

Just wondering can a seed could end up being a male?

yes any seed could become a male
