Hello all I'm currently in week 5 flowering and my plants are packing on the trichs just no real bud production. They are way to small i feel like. is there anything significantly wrong with them or should i just let them develop? advanced nutrients and a hydroponic system btw

What sorta lights you using? Temps? (Day and nighttime) These are my plants under a 400w HPS at 5 weeks flowering, and they had SERIOUSLY low (like 1 celcius) temperatures at the start of flowering.

EDIT: And I clearly made a few mistakes by not checking them everyday too, so give us all the info about it you can and we'll try help you :)

The temp was pretty low like 60 degrees, using a CFL(probably my problem, as soon as i harvest i'm buying a 600 watt hps)

cfl's have to be really close to the plants.

Personally, IMHO they should be used for vegging, or cloning. Budding should be under HID's....again my opinion. Others like them.

That plant would instantly explode from a 600w HPS with the extra light and heat they'd get.

One single CFL will not produce much at all. If you can't or don't want to invest in HID right now, you should at the very least get a few more CFL's on there. Buy the socket splitters to basically get two lights from one receptacle and if you can, get another 3-5 CFL's on there, you'll see a big difference.

bro your only in week #5.. ;)

I don't know much about that particular strain, never grown it.. but its still got a good 3 to 4 weeks to go. In those last weeks, is when she'll get nice and fat. She should anyhow..

good luck! I'll be watching.

peace

Yep, within 4" for best results. You just won't get very good results with CFL for flowering although I have seen some great buds when the plants are grown with an even canopy, nothing compares to HID.

BAD

i think i'm going to go ahead and buy a 600 watt hps, just seems worth it
Any HPS regardless of wattage would be a worthy upgrade from CFL for flowering.

instantly explode? in a bad way?:wall:
In a very very very good way :D
