HELP!! New Aeroflo2 60!! Ive never started from seed!

Hey all I'm new to this forum and I have a couple questions. I have never started a grow using seeds, only clones. Not sure where to begin, but i have some ideas. I have a heat mat for germination.


A lil about the room:

Aeroflo60
4- Yield Master 600Watt air cooled hood w/ hortilux lamps
sentinel chhc-1 environment controller
CAP 4 burner c02 generator
a/c
GH Nutes

I was planning on running the pump 3min on 5min off

I will be updating on here daily as soon as the finishing touches are on the room and I can figure out where to start with seeds.

I have an ezcloner 60 and Sun Blaze T5 Lights 4ft 4 lamp for cloning/veg. I just dont know what to do after they sprout in the papertowel. Do I use a humidity dome? Should I go straight to the aeroflo2? Should I use rockwool or neoprene and hydroton?? HELPP MEE :lol:

I would try to stay away from rockwool in a aero system holds to much water I think someone on this forum did a aero grow from seed I would try a search see how they did thiers and what the results were. I always start from clones in my aero flo

I was working on a much smaller ebb and flo system before and have always used clones. Im a seed virgin! Thanks for the reply!

Get the neoprene collars that fit the inside of your net pots. Put the germinated seeds into them after the roots show about 2". With no medium try your timer at 1 min. on and 5 off. All about the good meds!

ok man ive done seeds in an aeroflo. its as simple as this, no special treatment as seeds are always germinating outdoors in the dirt lol. take your net pot and put a couple layers of hydroton on the bottom. put the rockwool cube in the middle of the pot and fill up with hydroton. Put the seed in the rockwool hole root facing down obviously. Then, set your water level so its just touching the bottom of the pot. this will wick the water up to the rockwool and within a day to a couple days you will see the root coming out from the bottom. soon you will have a whole root system going

Thanks everyone for all your help!!! The room will be complete next week so the fun will begin... I will be starting a journal for it with lots of pics!!
