Been growing 3 different clones for about 3 weeks in happy frog soil under 1200 watt led lights. Had sum white powder mildew problems and been spraying trifecta as directed. Now I’m noticing sum of the leaves has started curling up and sum are curling down. Idk if it’s based on the wpm or my humidity( even though I purchased two different dehumidifiers) or if I’m over or under watering. Can someone please help?? I spent a lot on this set up and would hate for my first grow to be a bust.

I’ve seen the serrated edges curl up like that from excess heat when I’m growing outdoor. Not sure what your temps are but it’s a possibility.

Also not sure what they put in trifecta but I’ve also noticed stress when spraying for powdery mildew with my own concoctions. Some of your leaves look like they may have a deficiency but that could just be old stressed leaves from when the cutting was taken.

I wouldn’t worry about your first grow being a total bust. It’s not going to be perfect but you’ll learn a lot and end up with some bud to smoke for sure.

There are always issues with every grow, even with experienced growers. Just do your best and be sure to learn from your mistakes.

They could look healthier but they’re not dying and they’re not stunted. Like I said, the curling could be an adverse reaction to your fungicide. I am not sure your leaves indicate a deficiency because most look healthy. The ones that look iffy are low on the plants and could have just gotten stressed during the cutting phase. Old leaves do not recover even if the cause of stress is abated — the newer foliage just takes a turn for the better.
Also, what is your temperature? I’ve seen the serrated edges turn up like that in the height of summer but haven’t seen it indoors. However, logic would indicate temperature or light may be the issue.

I am lazy so one of my strategies is just to avoid fucking with my plants too much and they generally recover from whatever ails them. However, I am primarily an outdoor guy, so they tend to do best when out in the elements.

A common mistake seems to be that people start taking extreme measures to rectify small problems. Then new problems appear and everything becomes a tangled mess.

I think you’re best off just watering moderately — I usually only water twice a week — and waiting to see how they do.

From what I understand, happy frog has got plenty of nutes so you should still be Ok after 3 weeks. It’s possible that the discoloration on some leaves is a zinc deficiency but it doesn’t look bad. In any case, it could be some other form of stress that’s just affecting nute uptake.

Again, don’t worry too much. Keep an eye on the plants, avoid fucking with them too much and keep posting updates. I think you’ll have a fine if imperfect crop.

When the leaves roll up at the edges like that it's usually a sign of overfeeding or overwatering. Are you using plain water? and are you letting the top inch or 2 of soil dry out before you water again? In a high humidity environment the soil will stay wet for longer.

You want to have as much air moving around as you can to fight the wpm. Get a decent fan or 2 blowing on them.

I think I have been overwatering them. I’ve been watering every 3 days with distilled water. And I have had some humidity problems I just got another dehumidifier so I’m hoping it works better.

You can kill the white mold with milk and water 70% water 30% milk. Spay all affected plants completely top to bottom and all pots walls stakes and top soil. Leave it there... wait several days and spray with ph’d water to rinse off. It’s a common farming method and works even in flower. I am not telling you book knowledge. I have had the same issue and this was told to me and it works!

Always look for help here if you don’t know exactly what to do. And be a little patient, another hour isn’t going to kill them. If it does they were dead already. Never use anything chemical unless you have no other choice. It’s just my preference, but it makes good sense to always try to avoid chemicals. Even soaps if it man made it has the potential to harm the plant.
