Help! Newbie with hydro system

Hello, I have already posted in another forum but did not get any answers but I am desperate!!! I have a mini cool cab...using UFO LED lights, net containers with clay pellets, top feeding system, airstone, and have the CO2 boost. I am having a major PH problem I am using distilled water due to the fact that I have crappy well water. I get PH down to 5.5 but in a matter of a 4 hours it is up to 6.2 and then in another 8 hours it is up to 7.2. WTF??? This has happened every day. the PPM is 970. What is causing the rise? Any ideas or tips will be appreciated...Thanks!:roll:

I was having the same problems, going thru ph down like crazy. U might just need to find a different water source.

it could be the nutes that your using or the temps can make the ph fluctuate also

what nutrients are you using? I use gh flora series and it buffers the water to 6, i use distilled water also.

How long has this been happening? I had one reading of 7 and i did a water change and my nutrients buffered the water back up to 6.

what are your water temps? happen to have a clear or black res?

I am thinking you may need to wrap it in aluminum tape. Costs about 8 dollars at walmart. it will make your life much easier.

your res temps are fine though.

how long has this been happening?
