Can you show us your plants? It's funny how people give advice but don't show what they are using.Just get 1 quantum board and run it at 150w. It will provide more than enough ppfd and it's very easy to set up. Most importantly, it's backed by a real company that provides great support.
These are my plants. I legally am not allowed to grow outdoors and indoors at the same time. I use cobs, led bulbs, strips or whatever else I happen to be experimenting with at the time. Recommending a Quantum Board is easy, there are dozens of great grow threads using them. I've bought from Robin and HLG several times so I have personal experience with the company and their product. Can you show us your plants? The sun does make a difference lol it's free and all I asked was to see what you are doing with those strips or boards you are giving advice on. You forget about this light I hadThese are my plants. What I'm using right now is the sun, not that it makes any difference. The QB has more empirical evidence to back it up than any other LED board in history.
Here's some advice. A person would be a fool to take one persons advice on here and go buy a light. A person would be smart to do his due diligence in researching whatever light catches his attention so he can find out important information about it's quality, about the company and about how well it works in real world applications.
Pointing someone in the right direction is a good thing and what this forum is all about. Don't discourage it by spouting bullshit about people needing to link their grow information for simply referring someone to a certain company. What I grow and how I grow it is irrelevant.
Growmau5 did a video on hacking a Mars hydro light worth watching can save you some moneyI have a Mars hydro 300w (140 from the wall i think). not sure how long this light will last so i wanna use it till i can build a more efficient. The boards do work but they are not going to out perform super efficient cobs which cost more money to build. It was 3000k and I didn't like how it vegged for me. Take in mind they didn't have the other kelvins yet and I was comparing it to my 6500k CXB3590 DD bin at 71% efficiency not a fair comparison.

Hey whats your experience with the led bulbs in veg? Im looking to use those to veg in a 1.5/1.5 cabinet for sog. About 3 ft in height. Using a Mars 600 in there but its way too stressful on my plants Also they dont stretch much when sent to flower. I dont mind a little stretch but i plan to flower at 12-16 inches under QBs, im running 2 strains. What would you recommend?led bulbs...

I did veg plants side x side with cfl on one side and led bulbs on the other. Both the cfl and led were rated at 1600 lumens. The led bulbs grew better. Plants grew a bit faster and filled out a bit more. Make sure you get a 4000K or 5000K bulb, I tried 3000K also but the plants really stretched.Hey whats your experience with the led bulbs in veg?
