Help on my clone!

I cut my clone last night, cut at a 45 degree angle and made a cut on the side, and rubbed it with the root gel I just bought from hgt supply a week ago. It said 'don't give cuttings any sunlight' so I left it in the dark at 1am and woke up in the morning, 10 am, to see my clones stem and leaves bend all the way down!! Anyone know what the problem is?

personally i always have a cup of water sittin next to me and as sooon as ive taken the cutting( at as close to 45 degrees as poss but i dont get anal about it) i dip the stem into a cup of water and squeeze in case theres any trapped air in it, then i either pop it straight in pre-waterd soil or dampened rockwool, then i cover witha clear plastic cup thats bee sprayed with water and pop it under my 2 x 55 watt cfls. sometimes they droop and just lay there for days other times they stand up proud, but they virtually always take, my success rate is at least 90%...and i dont bother with rooting gel anymore. it takea bout 2 weeks for them to be fully rooted.

Smart haha but is it bad that I didn't water my medium? Because it has the root gel and I'm afraid it will wash it off

probably too late now , if theres any air in them it'll be trapped i'd guess, but its a good idea to do that. like i said ive had many clones look like shit for two weeks and then just stand up, happened this weeks to me, i'd 4 clones sitting alongside 5 seeds under the cfl and as soon as i repotted them all into 7litre square pots under my 400 hps they all stood right up, there was one that looked dead but i pulled it out and there was one small root just about 1/4" long popping out, i stuck another seed into the pot alongside it just in case it did die though, and that seeds just came thru. i tend not too worry about stuff though, ive been growing too long to stress.

Yeah dude you need to water your medium, what are you using?
enough gel will stay on and it isn't even needed anyhow

yes need a dome heated propagator ,cfl light very close to the dome ,dip clones in clonex ,then in root riot blocks first day they look shit like they died ,but they will pick up ,give em a week or so they will root thro the block .one thing i do which as worked for me all the time never lost any so far ,just pick each clone in its root-roit block for first week & spray underneth with just water or diluted clone formula all round the block ,not the clone itself .once they rooted thro the blocks you can remove the dome
