Not sure how they use this info but they aren't doing roof inspections,this is a lower income city of over 50,000 people and are mainly one story homes. I'm more rural and the county sheriffs helicopters will be circling later in the year looking for outdoor grows,they do every year. Last year they busted someone near me for having unsecured plants on the back deck of his house,it was spotted by the copter.

They can't see through your house and into your basement BUT they damn well can see basement window glowing nice and bright from the heat. So deal with the heat properly, avoid HID lighting if you can, etc etc.

my lights are vented through a glass block window of my basement. got a blacked out board with a 8" duct attached to it if that one spot is lit on flir so what. running my dryer. they arent looking for spots here and there they are looking at the fact your roof is the only one in your neighborhood glowing

I get the choppers doing visual inspections without using tech but even if they used flir to track your house down to begin an investigation they still have to give full disclosure on how you were targeted in the first place. and if they are dumb enough to say they spotted a heat sig, well, there goes their case. although they could also make shit up. but they still need proof of whatever story they tell

Well thank goodness the cops never lie. Not sure what area your in but around here a lot of cops are just criminals with badges. I know someone who's house got raided last year and the cops stole a bunch of personal items while they were at it,a nice leather jacket,small coin collection and some other things.

i get that some cops are dirty. never said otherwise.

Things have changed so much since I was a kid. Back then police were public servants and treated people with respect. You could ask a policeman for directions,if your car broke down they might give you a ride home,you could question their motives for what they were doing or at least ask them for a explanation. Now a days the majority of cops look at everyone as a perp and they may assault you if you question their authority,if you put up your arm to block a blow from a cop that assaults you they will charge you with assaulting a officer,guess your just suppose to take the beating and say thank you. I know they are not all bad and I've had a couple of them over the years that I would call a friend but I think they are in the minority now.

to be quite honest, society itself has changed how police look at citizens. They are constantly being attacked in the media which puts a bad light on all cops. they have to be on guard and ready to shoot in all situations. a normal traffic stop turns into a gun battle. A family friend who was a cop was shot point blank in the face with a shotgun as she knocked on a door. In my field I work with a lot of cops, mostly good but sure there are some assholes who turn into superdick when they put the badge on. but they certainly aren't the majority. theres assholes in every profession. I work with several.

Anyone who willingly enforces unjust laws and gets paid to do so has questionable morals.

Head narc cop with his boot on my neck in 2005 told me get active get it legal and u will never see me again.. He's a part of the %17 plus increase in MMJ arrests

Fuck dirty cops in their goat ass. I had cops steal gold and silver bullion when I got popped in 2009. They also stole stupid shit like nice pipes, baseball caps, etc. The bullion never showed up on the evidence report, it should have become a city/police force asset. Once I was off probation I informed Internal Affairs of it and was able to document my possession of it with a youtube video made days before the bust. Not enough to bust them but enough to go in their file and possibly help confirm accusations from others. The officer probably laughed when I left but it felt good and being 1000 miles away now I don't have to fear those mf'ers... I actually get to enjoy poking them in the ribs from a distance via their facebook page. Its the lulz.
