Help! Patient in need of Doctor (Toronto Area)

Hey guys, I am looking for a doctor who would sign for a LP. I have been using MMJ to treat my anxiety and depression for a couple years, illegally, and now want to do so legally. My Dr doesn't believe in it and wont sign, I also haven't seen her for my anxiety and depression because of my fear of pharmaceuticals so there is limited medical documentation on my disorders. I saw a counselor and she recommended I saw a therapist for it, but other than that, I have nothing. I live in the GTA and would love if someone could connect me to a compassionate Dr. I have inquired through cannabis advocates but the referral fee was 400$

Hi Cana, I'm out on the west coast so can't help with a Dr. in T.O., but I feel your frustration. I tried for a few years to find one here...one would think it would be easy here...no luck. I live on $800/mo but saved and paid over $400 to a cannabis clinic in Vancouver for a skype appt. with their doc. It sucks to have to spend money to get permission to medicate, but it was the best money I ever spent, as I got my grow lic. as well. (Almost) free meds for life! I'm not sure I would bother getting legal under the mmpr personally, unless you had a major concern about your employment or something. If the piece of mind is really important to you, spend the $400...you can claim it as a medical expense on your taxes.

Go to a commpassion club ect bccc they will ship to your door and cheaper pricing or even bm why better thc % and pricing avoid LP's at all cost. Monopoly of a system rich taking advantage of the sick. Check out some of the posts. Also welcome to RIU

do you think he would still sign without a lot of supporting docs? I need to find a doctor who doesnt base their referrals on supporting documents.

He's a doctor. If you are sick, he will see that and prescribe for you accordingly.

Alright i just wanted to clarify because I read they wanted supporting medical documents and a place for my doctor to sign, which she has already said no to.

You have to ask your doctor to refer you to them.
Your doctor has to refer you if they will not help you with your prescription.
If they will not refer you. You need a new doctor
or phone Dr. Danial Schecter and ask him if he is taking patients. He's a GP in Midland. He might need the business. if he is not taking patients. Ask him if he knows of a doctor who is that can help you out. He is in the business after all and that is why he is doing what he's doing.
Keep at it. You'll get through the hoop sooner or later.

My doctor was iffy about marijuana, now i think he knows more then me. He talks about all walks of life involving mmj now from juicing to smoking, edibles the whole 9 yards...i brought up the new MMPR regime and he wanted nothing to do with it, they fucked it all up and thats coming out of my doctors mouth...who owns his own clinic with 8 fulltime docs under him.

Dont go with a LP in all honesty. Compassion club is the best route. If your worried about safety please dont be. You wont get in trouble unless you sayyy go to canadas wonderland with a bunch of kids everywere smoking weed whenever wherever and sharing with your buddy, then ya..your going to get in trouble. *sigh* was that guy an idiot or what
