I have 21 day old Afgan Kush and White widow strains Growing in my closet right now. Temps are around 77 and I am using T5 fluros. you can check my grow out in my sig. Anyways The afgan is yellowing and is already pretty yellow. It also has brown spots on three of the leaves. On one leaf there are two brown spots on the side of the leaf. And on another leaf there is a brown spot near the middle of the leaf. I have pics. I pointed to the one spot in one of the pictures. The other two on the side of the leaf are easy to see. My soil should have a little fert in them but I don't think much. I used about 30% sanguine peat moss, 30% perlite that was treated with 0.003 N and P, K values that I do not remember, but I leached and soaked the perlite in my tub before mixing. I did not want the nutes to burn seedlings. The last 40% was a organic soil I got at Wal mart, ferts were something like..0.004 N 0.000 P and 0.003 K..I don't know for sure...but they were low. I was looking for soil with the lowest fert values. You cannot get anything at walmart that is not pre treated with fert. Anyway I am thinking I might need to feed, I have BC hydro nutes that I could use but I don't know if I should. Also I have been watering my soil with Ph 7 water. But before I have been using distilled, so maybe my soil has low PH but IDK. The first pictures are the smaller greener, not spotted White widow, but she is turning yellow as well. BTW both are female(from fem seeds.) The second lady is the Afgan Kush, she is the bigger girl with the bigger troubles.

organic soils from wal mart are usually bad in my experience, i would transplant right now, my buddy started some 8 ball kush from barneys farm in organic mircale gro soil, they still never recovered, they are like 6 weeks in flower outside and like tall as my waist, that shit stunts em, no good good luck

Well I am going to take cutlings and go hydro once they are bigger. Are there any other opinions. I really don't think it was bad soil. I did not use mircale gro.

I have to agree with the wally world soil crap.Trans them to some thing good like foxfarm ocean forest and they'll jump out of the pots. The crap soils that wally world sells is junk.Might not be mir gro but dont mean it's worth a crap.I tried soil like this at first but had the same issues so spent the cash and got the good stuff.Been happy ever since.

Did ya use dom lime in the soil to help ph issues before ya started ?? Yer soil ph maybe way off too causeing nute lockout.

No offense to anyone, just my opinions.
Im not saying walmart has great soil, but I will say I think FF soil is a whole lot of hype. Although a transplant may help, its not the way to go. Everyone around here says "Flush or Transplant" instead of trying to understand why the problem is happenning. U stunt the plants, cause stress, etc... Then ur supposed to go out and buy a bunch of soil when u already did that... Why? U have everything u need to fix the problem right at ur house.
Mix up some of those Hydro nutes at half seedling strength (up to 200-300ppm). Use it for the next two waterings and then alternate between that and plain water. Water PH going into the soil is important, but runoff (rootzone) ph is what u want to check. Water with nutes until u get runoff water out of the bottom of the pot, take the PH of that and adjust your water accordingly if needed.

i use wal mart soil every year, im not saaying its shitty, i would NEVER order ffof soil, why when i can make it myself in my own backyard, expert gardening soil i have used outside for over 5 years, its either pink or yellow bag, maybe 5 bucks a bag or even less i think its been 4-5 monthes since i purchased :P have yet to have a plant die from it (yet) they do tend to carry mushroom spores though, which is another sign of low quality

Damn The problem is getting worse. What does it look like to you guys. PH or lack of fert. I also want to know if I could use PH buffer that keeps ph at 7 that is used for fresh water fish. The stuff is called discuss Buffer (named after the fish) it looks like a fine white salt. It says it is a phosphate buffer. I do not even know what that is. The same phosphate my plant would want during bloom??? Could this kill my plant. I was thinking about mixing it in my next watering. Which is tomorrow.
