Help, please! Can Shrooms and MJ be grown in same Room?

My DH wants to hi-Jack part of my grow closet for growing shrooms. Light is not an issue, I have sectioned off areas with dark out curtains to created 3 seperate areas. Along one of the short walls are 3 shelves. The top one is my germ./clone area with my T-5 light and germination station. This is sealed off, light proof, for starting new seeds or clones toward end of current grow harvest. I am not using the other 2 shelves and they can be made light leak proof easily. What I am worried about is that the temp will need to be TOO HIGH for my plants.
ANY advice or suggestions on making this arrangement work will be very much appreciated! This is my first grow and I killed my first 4 seedlings by overheating my grow closet. My new seedling looks really good and I don't want to fuck it up! DH is not even doing any of hisvown research, I am! I spent hours researching "how to" and what equipment supplies he'll need. And I know I will do most of the
work on his grow as well. Fine, no prob. AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T SCREW UP MY GROW!:dunce:

Isn't 85 degrees too hot for marijuana? Admittedly, when I killed my poor babies, it got over 100 degrees, but I have kept my temps right in the 72-77 range since then and I am very paranoid about killing any more plants! The bad karma might come back to haunt me!

Be sure to keep the shrooms far away from the pots, doubly so if you use soil, as you will be inviting fungi gnats.

Cannabis and mushrooms actually flower and fruit at the same temp... 70-75 deg is fine for both... its even fine for colonizing mycellium. Mushrooms will require much more RH% than cannabis though. Although ive always dreamed of having a cannabis farm that gets supplemental co2 from a giant mushroom farm, I would stick to one hobby for now if I were you... If your a first timer growing plants and still havent mastered that you will definately fail at mycology... master cultivation first, then study your ass off on www.shroomery.org before you waste money and attempt growing mushrooms.

He can certainly do containers like the shotgun terrarium etc., but as I said, if you have any fungi gnats (looks like tiny fruit flies and flying stage), forget it.

I'm a hydro girl, no soil for me. Also, we probably won't start with the shrooms till after Christmas, when money is not so tight. I just wanted to make sure it could be done. His supplies will be his Christmas present from me, and I am starting shopping now, so I needed to be sure we could do it before spending any money on spore syringes. Thanks for the advice!
