Help please, I'm going to have to sacrifice a plant or two

Trying to keep it as short as possible,

Planted 3 bag seeds in mg grow moisture control soil, germinated seeds in soil on January 27th. Currently at 2 weeks since flipping lights. Ended up with three females! Now the problem the smell is too much already. I'm running a homemade box with cfl lighting, two adjustable 120mm fans rated between 28-69 cfm (something close to that) with homemade carbon filter. Also I have a small clip fan for circulation.

When I first installed my set it the plants had already begun to smell and the homade filter niped the odor in the butt instantly. However since its Been two weeks of flowering. I do not want to sacrifice any plants but I currently don't have the finances to purchase a carbon filter and inline fan.

The grow area has quick become undersized and i cannot provide enough light to the plants which has caused me to trim certain branches. Simply cutting what can't reach good light, and i still need more light. As this is my first grow I'm think my best option could be simple cut down one or two of the plants. (sad face)

I will have pictures up tonight! I need to take action.

Well cutting down plants mid-cycle does not portray a great deal of planning on your end. But a lesson learned, right?

You don't have the $ to underwrite an exhaust fan and filter? How are you set up financially to hire an attorney and fuck around in the court system a couple years?

Top or trim or LST the shit out of them and keep them small.

First you should figure out the smell end.. if you have to sacrifice plants now because of smell and you are only 2 weeks in, you won't stand a chance when they 'really' start to smell. Even just one plant.

Maybe go get some activated carbon and replace what you have more frequently and a few of those odor eating CFL's never hurt.

Deal with the smell angle and THEN make decisions about your plants.. that would be what 'I' would do.

Everyone else's own mileage may vary. G'luck whatever ya end up doing.

Well the two plants that were FIM'd were sacrificed lat night. One resulted in two Tops and the other resulted in four tops, however it doesn't matter I dismembered those two plants and left the one short unaltered plant. I realize I will still have to combat a smell however the smell is gone currently.

I don't think removing a couple plants will make a noticeable diff in smell, but just out of curiosity, why would you leave a lower potential yield plant, and chop the higher opportunity?

I took down the two larger plants due to exactly that their size. I evaluated each plant individually by rearranging lights and seeing which plant I was able to illuminate best. The short unaltered plant was the best candidate. All in all this is my first fgr

The short unaltered plant was the best candidate, I have 15 CFL's arranged around the plant within inches. The other plants were atleast 18 inches taller and much harder to put light where i wanted. All in all this is my first grow, I never expected to get 3 females from unfeminized seeds, I learned a lot so far and I'm not even close to being finished. Just hope I can see the last plant threw to the end. Would love for you to comment on the plant and how its developing bakatare, just need to get the time to post a few pics.
