WW clones four weeks old, on NFT table indoors for 2 weeks. Nutes EC was 2.0 now backed off to 1.3 as I suspect nute burn???? PH 5.9 - 6.0 2 x 600w in 7ft x 7ft area, again backed off to 24" although never close enough to burn IMO before. Growth very rapid at moment and roots spreading over/under mat like wildfire. Last three days this yellow/browning occurred and tips are brittle. Please help guys/girls......everything seemed to be going so well until now and I dont want to lose my babies  peace.

don't worry. You're not gonna lose em, the damage is still slight. You backed off the EC - see if the problem is expanding - if not, you can try to up the nutes slowly till you see it again - but I wouldn't.

If the problem continues to spread, try meddling with pH a bit (couple .X below to 5.6 say). If that doesn't work, try using a different fertilizer or otherwise changing your NPK ratios. One of these should do the trick.

Also, if the problem persists, consider raising your light or otherwise reducing it a bit, to decrease harm until you solve the chemical problem of nutrient uptake.

Hey dude..
What kind of nut do u use?
U burn your plant and ASAP use flush ....
If u not use distilled water your EC is too high in this age.
I use ppm and in this week around 800 .
With the best wishes

Thanks asaph, nice to get early reply! Do you think its nutes rather than deficiency too? I think a deficiency would just have caused discolouration and not dry tips etc. so thats why I backed off EC. Guy from nute company said he wouldn't put EC at 2.0 until flower, but on the bottle it says 2.0!!!! confusing eh! lamps are raised so its warm on back of my hand at top of plant, but not hot and never was, but until I sort it I'm not taking chances. Also burn is not just on tops, so more evidence perhaps of an overnute problem. New growth is greener and apparently unaffected already and the growth rate is still tremendous. Never grown WW b4, so learning what they need from experience. I will drop PH to 5.7ish tomorrow probably..........Just checked tank temp. and it was 25c (too hot I think so turned off aquarium heaters too) Lamps are on 24/7 at the mo, but thats never been a problem in the past, was hoping to start flower in about 4 days so hoope it sorts itself out as I was looking at a great grow until 3 days ago. Thanks again buddy.

I have been looking up ionic nutes and I know that people say when solution is too warm the salts drop out badly. If its not burn the only thing I can think of which looks similar is magnesium def., but would this make the tips crusty?? I have added some water trays to see if the humidity was too low, but don't have a humidity meter as i dropped it (doh!) I may empty tanks and replace with 1.0 EC, I am starting to worry the nutes may not be as good as the two part stuff I have tried in the past.............Its worse than having kids this, I worry so much!! I will keep you updated guys ...

Hey f1bud, very kind words thanks.........I put alot of thought into how to make the best use of the space and you are right alot of effort too! I have videod the growroom and it shows alot better what I've done so may post it once its all over.......Best strain to date has been powerplant by dutch passion ...amazing plant! Just a thought, but if you tried NFT tank you would probably never look back bud, they are amazing and really not difficult to maintain although my post may suggest otherwise, but I think I have just pushed the nutes too far. I had a lovely grow once with cinnamon and PP in 24 soil pots, it was yummy so I dont blame you for stickin with soil. All the best bud.....and thanks again. NFTfan

so yeah - according to what you're saying the problem is solved - no further steps need be taken. You can put the lamps back as you like them to be, your plants most likely don't even remember what happened. you can also start flowering. I also think 2.0 is too high but this is strain dependent of course. 1.5 is enough for any strain in my opinion.

All this if the burns are not expanding. If they expand then something is still wrong. if not - you're good to go.

asaph and evry1 thanks for all your comments, really appreciate it........like having someone with you for a hospital appointment, it helps! Just to update, I think I may have found out what went wrong (at least I hope so). When the tanks had dropped to 2/3rds I took EC which was 2.0 and PH was ok too. I stupidly assumed that the plant had taken equal quantities of the nutes from the solution and so topped up with 2.0 again......OOOOPS!!!!! Should have known really as I have read loads of times to top up with PH adjusted water only OR change whole tank. I think this just put too much in for the girls as they had clearly taken what they wanted and left what they didn't. I have today emptied all the tanks and added fresh solution at 0.5 EC and PH 5.9. Lights are still a way up just to be safe, but with 1200w of HPS in a 7ft square space I think they will be ok. New growth is seemingly healthy and although damaged tips will likely dry and crumble, hopefully most will soon be under the canopy. Thought about adding no nutes, but as they still look ok I thought I'd just give them a tiny bit so they have access to trace elements if they feel up to it and also added a few drops of superthrive with vitamins (a bit like having chicken soup after a stomach upset!!). I'll keep you guys updated and post pics so hopefully we can see the girls through to maturity together.....will hopefully flower in two days or so when I am totally happy, thanks again!! I won't be taking Sheriff John Browns advice again, think I'll keep them alive! PEACE friends
