Help Please ! Nitrogen or Magnesium deficiency ?

Alright so this plant is about 3 weeks old, I started on 12-12 to determine sex of seeds. Once I saw the genders i changed the cycle to 18-6. I am using OLD soil and OLD compost manure with perlite, this material is about a year old and was left outside in plastic containers do to complications for about a month. I first came to the conclusion it was Nitrogen deficiency due to the red/purple colors of the veins, so when i was transplanting and mixing up my soil i was thinking about anything i could add for more nitrogen. I took some of the veg nutrients which were high in N and perfectly ratioed how much were needed for the volume of my container ( i was assuming the roots absorbed similar to the leaves ?). BTW im a broke ass college kid. with this perfect ratio of nutes i made a very small concentrated water solution and evenly distributed it throughout the soil. I am also currently foliar feeding with the veg nutes (vigoro plant food found at home depot).

What should I do?
granted the temp is kept somewhat high usually 85 -90 (its hot as fuck in texas so i cant open a window, yeah) but I am starting CO_2 treatment soon so this shouldn't end up being a problem in the future.

First of all the soil your using especially if it's from a compost will NOT need added nutrients. It is most likely from the soil, since composted material is extremely high in nutrients and thus may be too strong for young plants.

P.S it also may be from the lights. The plant has stretched quite a bit so if your looking to continue growing those plants you will need better lights. And get those temperatures down to 70-80, 95 is much too warm for plants.

i ADDED compost to the soil , the soil was not from compost. its about 2/3 soil 1/3 compost.... wouldnt you say my only 1 plant is showing signs of nute deficiency not abundance (maybe some nute burn from foliar feeding(which does contain some nutes)). hmm it is starting to stretch a LITTLE but shit happens, i started the stress training just for that comment -.-
temp is around 81, i will get fans soon which should help.
ANYWAYs any idea on the deficiency?? And what i should do to fix??

Seems like the ladies have been through a lot of stress lately. How often are you feeding? How often are you watering?
Seems like a burn rather than a deficiency but I could be wrong. I use earth juice products, they are pretty cheap and hard to burn the plants with.

I foliar feed once A cycle right when the lights turn on so it's not too hot while the nutes are on the leaves. Thank you for the suggestion though, I was looking for something cheap like that!

I water Based on the soil, it usually takes about one week to completely dry up and I always boil the water first, I give it a pretty good amount,a big pot full.

And again... I only have ONE plant.

I would add some dolomite lime, dolomite lime helps the ph it's also an anti bacterial to help keep a clean and health root zone. To apply dolomite just sprinkle one table spoon per galon on top of the soil and water as needed don't over water. It will work Itself in. Dolomite lime can be bought at just about any local hardware store with a garden section like lowes homedepot. Lime has fixed many problems with my grows. Sometimes it's just best to not over care for your ladies, try and let her dry out very well. And it looks very much like nute burn you should not foiler until she gets healthy again.

nitrogen burn
overwatering
probable Mg/K (and maybe Ca) deficiency
Lockout. Sodium in compost and soil??

My best advice is: if you want this plant to live, replant into a known good soil. Mark this one a failed experiment. cn

Hmm i agree cannibaneer, i will look into getting some new soil. And i am definitely gonna go get some of that lime stuff immediately ....sounds dank

stress training is going really well though ...sooo dense (for my little CFL grow) btw i got more bulbs i have 400 W total but i only
have about 230 W on her now ....i will beef up the wattage once she hits the screen ( its gonna be a vertical screen too) gonna get interesting

Looks like heat stress to me,i should know my plants are 1-4 inches away from a bare bulb

what that bear said. re-pot into known quality mix and don't water as often. don't forget the perlite and lime
