Help Please Plant dying due to girlfriend ripping half the plants roots off!!

Hi guys i am a total noob from the uk and am looking for a little advice. My girlfriend and her brother thought it was a good idea to change the pot on one of my plants in doing so she ripped off more than half the roots the plant is about 5 foot and i was just about to put it into bud. I have since put it into a bigger pot with more soil but it is dying the top is all dry and dying what can i do guys :'( please help

but on a brighter note. i dont the same thing to one of my plant. ripped the roots out while transplanting. and i mean like nearly everything. i thought it was gonna die. some of the leaves dried up and started dying. i pulled of the dead ones and left the rest. it really stunted the growth for like a week it didnt grow. but then it just suddenly shot off. its gone back to perfect health.

dont give up dude. just give it some good energy and loving from you andit should be fine in about a week or so. look after the poor girl.

p.s i did break the taproot too. i may have just been lucky. so just hope luck ison your side too. but from my experiance i think it will just pull through.

As for your Girlfriend, when she next gets her hair done.. rip her roots out!

MJ plants are truly weeds, and as such rather hard to kill by accident ( unless you totally fuck them up, and even then...) So I agree with last poster that your plant should be fine with a little tender loving care. For future reference, should such a thing happen again, apply a little rooting hormones to roots while transplanting and this should speed recovery. The lesson to be learned here is that you shouldn't leave plant in container so small that its roots can attach to sides of pot.

If you get smart pots or air pots to prevent the roots from attaching. Its not all that common, but some people root prune, especially long term mothers. It will absolutely stunt growth but then recover.

A weed is a plant that is considered a nuisance and crowds out cultivated plants. Weeds can often regenerate the entire plant with a small section of their tap root alone. That doesn't sound like cannabis now does it?
