Indoor grow in aerogarden extra LED. Northern lights fem seed from germ. PH at 5.9. Ppm 679. Recipe for success nutes at 1/2 strength Week 3 from germinated seed. Added 3 cfl lights to side led above added mylar side reflectors on 3 sides and just noticed this yesterday upper leaves have reddish or brownish spots. See pic. I checked through plant prob list can't find anything looks like this. My PH does fluctuate a little every few days it goes up to around 6.9-7.0 I usually add 5 drops of PH down and in an hour is back around 5.7-6.0. Current water temp 76° rh at 78% 3 fans and dehumidifier running grow room in basement I do have a slight ground water prob in basement and its been eating here in ne Ohio for 3 weeks that's why humitity so high. Can anyone diagnose what's going on. Help please

I've looked at your pics very close, and that's all I can see it could be. Check your PH and add more cal.

Before you run around checking ph and lockout and flush like mad....are you getting them fresh outside air?

Your pics look a lot like plants that i had. I jumped through all kinds of hoops like flushing and such then i realized i just wasnt getting them enough fresh air....way too late... they eat themselves looking for co2.

Now a bunch of peeps will flame me for suggesting it, but...before you go crazy trying to diagnose and all that shit just make sure theyre getting air...it is the easiest thing at this point...theyre not too bad yet and will recover fast...

Your led could be too close, how far away is it? Mine states it needs to be 18" to 24" away.
It's at loest setting I could try raising a little its about 6 " above right now aerogarden I can I didn't notice spots till last night I added reflectors yesterday so I removed them for now till switch to flower cycle. Thanks for the info on led heights my instructions were for both cfl's or led model so I assumed as close to plant as poss. Thanks again

PH= 5.9 a couple hours ago.
My ppm is at 678 isn't that pretty good for 3 week old seedlings that are only 3 1/2 inches tall I started last week with 1/3 strength and then changed it out for 1/2 strength this week isn't that the right way build up I've got a couples gallons full strength mixed for next week its at 1090 ppm and 5.6 PH thanks I couldn't find anything that looked like mine online I also think about flushing or at least change water in res. With plain distilled ph'd water

PH 5.9 great, ppm 678 great. I would go ppm 800 for veg and bump it to 1000 for flower tho. Water temp, best to be around 68 to 73 lights on, highest 78. Gque is right tho, it could be as simple as fresh air.

Yeah it looks like signs of a light intensity problem, if it is that adding calmag and others could compound the problem. But the spots definitely reminded me of that problem when I had it. I believe the term deemed for it is photo inhibition. That's the only problem with the colored leds

Well there it is. I did the same thing. You need air in there. The sooner the better. I have seen this same prob on this site a four or five times and i have posted my pics of what happens if they go too long.

Dont wait. Pipe some fresh outside air right into the grow space...

Problem solved.

Sometimes it really is that simple. I mean really...they look great otherwise so youve been doing a good job obviously. Just the air thing...

Thanks only thing I can't understand is that there are 3 plants in unit and its only effecting one. Wonder if it's strain related. The plant with spots is northern lights. The other two are Afghan no spots on them they're all in the same aerogarden. Same water lights nutes and temps plus humidity. So why is it only effecting just the one plànt.
