No reason to be shitty to the guy. Its obviously an embarrassing situation, but he didn't walk in with an attitude. He knows things went south and wants to do better. How sad that people just open the flood gates and dump all their unhappiness on people who are already bummed out.
To the OP...
I agree with the earlier assessment that you definitely have an auto flower on your hands, and it was badly stunted by some form of stress. Poor watering practices, temperature or rH drastically out of whack, not enough light, pH problems.... something stunted it and forces it to flower while still extremely small.
The more you can tell us about the grow and how you attempted to care for the plant, the better chance we can tell you what mistakes were made.
In the meantime, devour every bit of information you can find about how to grow plants. There is a ton of great information out there but you have to put in the work.

Don't be embarrassed, that is some crazy shit but crazy shit can happen when your learning. Keep growing, you will get better.
I wouldn't advise youtube, the bad far out weighs the good as far as credible information goes.
Pick your grow medium and read everything you can on how to grow in it.
This forum is also a great place to learn but you have to sift through good and bad information. Search bar is your friend.
Get good genetics, your grow is only as good as the seeds you use.

Think majority didn't intend to be shitty, but rather curious/amazed or in disbelief.
For me I really didn't believe this was real. With all the equipment and nice pots it just seemed off.
