help please! when do i put my babies under my light

Hi, i think i have already asked this question, but i don't think i got a reply.
i have germinated my lowryders and planted in my soil,they are just starting to pop there little heads out. MY QUESTION IS, do i put them straight under my 400whps or do i have to wait till they have sprouted an inch or 2, what distance would you recommend having my lights at from my plants, (sorry, that's 2 questions).

wait abt 2 weeks. keep the flourescent close for now. about 2 inches will do.

Put em under the 400w at a distance of 2.5 ft.

Thanks E S, i am assuming i keep the 2.5ft distance all through the grow?

You can start moving it closer when the plant gets well established.

i say get daylight cfl bulbs and veg with that then use hps for flowering it works great hps bulb isnt that great for veging

Unless you got 400 watts of CFLs laying around.... don't bother.
